John McDermott, a lynchpin of the acclaimed Irish Tenors, covers a lot of ground on his new A Time to Remember. Great American Songbook standards "Try to Remember," "When I Grow Too Old to Dream," "As Time Goes By, "I'll Be Seeing You" mingle with material both more contemporary "And I Love You So" and more traditional "The Battle Hymn of the Republic". A citizen of the world, McDermott remains, at heart, a songful scion of Eire.

    Beyond Listening

Mr. McDermott's voice trascends beyond the listening ear. He reaches out and touches your deepest emotion. You FEEL the words he sings and his beautiful voice penetrates ALL the senses! The songs create many emotional experiences, from smiles and laughter to tears and rememberances of times and loved ones from today and the past. His voice is one my mother talked about but I could never appreciate until now. All ages can find an identity within at least one song, if not more than one song. Thank you Mr. McDermott for sharing ALL of yourself!

    Magnificent family friendly music

This is music for every age in the family; the youngsters the teens and the seniors. I find John McDermott's music comforting, pleasant to the ears and soul searching, as well as peaceful to the mind and spirit.
