As a child I fell asleep listening to my parents sing "Somewhere in the West, We'll build a little nest, and let the rest of the world go by." Reading these stories brought back that feeling of nostalgia. Each author, Carla Kelly, Sarah M. Eden, Liz Adair, Annette Lyon, Heather B. Moore and Marsha Ward create a unique world and great characters. Their writing styles keep the language clean and the romance is not so steamy that one comes away feeling grit in their eyes from fiery scenes. This collection gives the individual author's fans a chance to meet and read more authors who write in similar genres. Readers of historical fiction, Westerns, Romance and novellas will enjoy the entertaining Old West Collection of A Timeless Romance Anthology.

It is no secret that I love these collections of stories. I have read every one that has been put out and plan on reading any that the publishers put together. One of the things I really like is that I am introduced to new authors through these anthologies.
I love historical romance. It really doesn't matter what time period or location. I like being carried away to another place. The Old West is no exception.
This collection starts out with a story that takes on a controversial subject matter for the time period, inter racial relationships. As much as I love the happy and romantic stories that have come out of the anthologies, I really like that some of the stories have some edge. I like getting caught up in the fun and sweet, I admit it. But I am glad that some of the stories make me think as well.
I would let my 16 year old read this collection of stories.

I love the Timeless Romance Anthologies. They are such wonderful collections to read. The Old West Collection is particularly charming with stories of soldiers, cowboys, schoolmarms, and of course - love. And who doesn't love a good romance story every now and then? With this book there are SIX. It's wonderful. Part of the thing I love is that each story is short enough that I can read it quickly but long enough to really enjoy and get into each new adventure. Read it! Read it! :)Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
