CASHEMERE ALDRIDGE thought her opinions were absolutes and her world perfectly ordered, but when her eldest sister Velvet is kidnapped, Cashé becomes a part of the intrigue. She quickly discovers nothing she knew before is etched in stone. Leading her through these changes is a man who considers her a "spoiled brat." A man who prefers her twin Satiné to Cashémere. A man whose approval she desperately requires: Marcus Wellston, the Earl of Berwick. Toss in an irate Baloch warlord, a missing emerald, a double kidnapping, a blackmail attempt, and an explosion in a glass cone, and the Realm has its hands full. The Regency era has never been hotter, nor more dangerous.

I Also Recommend:
This is the third book in Jeffers' Realm series. The series follows an elite group of soldiers returning home after serving their country covertly for years. What they want most is to return to normal lives. Unfortunately old enemies have followed them and it seems some new ones have popped up while they were away. This is an engaging series where one story leads you right into the next. I admire the way Ms. Jeffers seemlessly intertwines these characters. Each one of them unigue and engaging. This story is no different. Cashemere and Marcus could not be more different yet dire circumstances require them to cooperate to save those they love. I will not spoil the story further. If you like well written regency romance then this is the series for you. Grab a cup of tea (or glass of wine) and head out to your deck with this one.Was this review helpful?
