Overview

Honor hurts…all the time. The doctors say she’s fine – it’s all in her head. But Honor feels pain. What she doesn’t know is…it’s not her pain– it’s everyone else’s. Seventeen year-old Honor Stevens is not an ordinary teenager. Sure, she looks like one on the outside…but on the inside, there’s a whole world of pain going on. Honor is an empath. That means she can feel other people’s pain - like her mother who's just had a heart attack or the girl who's dying of cancer. What she doesn’t know is what Ethan Sutherland comes to town to tell her – she can save these people. But at what cost? For every life Honor saves, she knocks years off her own. When Ethan comes looking for her, he isn’t counting on falling in love. Now that he has, he wishes he hadn’t told her about her abilities. Though he tries his best to talk her out of saving every soul, Ethan loses the battle – Honor’s too nice for her own good. Then there’s the matter of Ethan’s estranged, morally corrupt half-brother, Storm – he loves Honor too. And because Honor is intrinsically empathic, she’s aware of Storm’s softer side and begins falling for him as well. When the two brothers are forced to work together against a group of evil empaths who are after Honor, they need to put their differences aside and focus on saving the one girl they both love. A Touch of Honor is a young adult paranormal romance of a different kind. In a world gone mad with vampires and werewolves, A Touch of Honor tugs at the heartstrings with a girl out to heal the world…one person at a time.

Meet the Author

I am first and foremost, a mother of four wonderful children and a wife to a generous and terrific husband. They hold my heart. My heart also holds dear, my stepdaughter, son-in-law and grandson, as well as my mom, dad, sister, four brothers and my grandmother....not to mention so many other family members and friends, both living and deceased, whom I love dearly. My experiences and journey through life have given me the courage, finally, to write down all the stories that have been taking residence in my mind. Writing has always been a way for me to escape, but when you are raising four children, there aren't many opportunities for that. Knowing my passion for writing, my husband and children have decided to share in the household duties to give me that opportunity. My past experiences in television production/writing, personal training /group fitness instruction, and of course, the trials I had endured before my husband turned my life into a fairy tale, have all contributed to the stories fabricated in my mind and on paper. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.

    Format:Paper back
Honor Stevens is no ordinary seventeen year old girl, whom struggles daily with constant physical pain. Doctors run tests and scans and find nothing. Ethan Sutherland the new mysterious loner boy at school with blonde hair and violet eyes that always seem to be staring constantly at Honor. After one day at school Honor suffers from an intense migraine and fed up with Ethan's constant stares, she confronts him. "What is it you want from me?" Honor beginning to feel fear rise up her throat. Ethan nods. "I want to be sure you're okay," he says to her softly. "Really? You've been watching me and following me in the hallways...and...in the library parking lot just staring at me when I was walking in these past two days..just to make sure I am okay?" His head drops in shame. "You saw me...at the library?"
    "Yes."
"And you didn't report me for following you?" he asks, looking back up with a smile pasted on his face. From that moment on a friendship develops. Spending a lot of time together Honor opens up to Ethan and tells him everything. Ethan helps Honor discover that she's an empathy, feeling other peoples pain. Feelings deepen and grow between the two and Etan's older brother Storm shares the same feelings his brother feels for Honor. This irritates Ethan and warns Honor. I got lost in this story every time I read more and more that I can actually picture it as I read further, feeling real.

I got lost in this story every time I read more and more that I can actually picture it as I read further, making it so real .
J.P. Grider's "A Touch of Honor" takes you into her world with her character's and scenes that get you hooked. I was floored by J.P. Grider's creativity skills in keeping me interested in reading til the last page and succeeded. I highly recommend this book to any one up for a great story, this you must read.

    A TOUCH OF HONOR

A Touch of Honor is a 167-page romance. I reccommend it for teens. The main character, Honor and her boyfriend have a very rocky relationship. SPOILER ALERT!!!! Toward the end she starts cheating on her boyfriend with his brother. The very fact that they were supposed to have a good relationdhip with him his wrong, then she goes and cheats on him. This is all too much!!!!!!

    Captivating

Fantastic book! Very different from many other books I have read at least for the Empath concept of the book :) I found myself very intruiged and captivated from the very beginning, it leaves you guessing what will happen next :) My only complaint is some of the grammar errors more specifically the common error of mispelling Ethans name as Eeth and also when they tell us storm is 21 but a few pages later says 18. Otherwise very good :)
