This was the first book I'd read from the series and I was easily able to get brought up to speed and get caught up in the book. I really liked Everly Gray and will definitely go back and read the earlier books in the series. I highly recommend this book to those that love a good mystery. Was this review helpful? I love, Love, LOVE A Touch of Revenge. L.j. Charles once again demonstates her outstanding talent for pulling into a complex plot and tying us tightly to her amazing characters. The book begins about a year after A Touch of Betrayal. Everly has been been preparing for the physical aspects of getting revenge for the murder of her parents, but she is till working on recovering from the emotional shocks she received in A Touch of Betrayal.
Everly and Pierce are hot on the track of the people responsible for the death of her parents. This trail leads to Ireland where we get to know Pierce's parents. How awesome! Nothing turns out the way Everly expects, but the story is as awesome as it is complicated. I was so excited to meet a new character who enriches Everly's life and look forward to seeing her in future books.
As much as I want Ms Charles to get the rankings that her writing deserves for the new book, if you have not read the early books in the series, you must read them first! This book is absolutely NOT a standalone.
