Overview

RECOMMENDED FOR READERS 18 AND OVER DUE TO STRONG LANGUAGE, EXPLICIT SEXUAL SITUATIONS AND MILD VIOLENCE.

THIS IS THE SECOND BOOK IN A THREE BOOK SERIES WHICH MUST BE READ IN ORDER.

How can you continue living when you’re living a lie? How can you convince your body to stop feeling, your soul to stop caring, and your heart to stop beating?

Haunted by her past, Olivia Adler flees Boston for a beach in Florida, leaving everyone behind, trying to shut the world out. Remaining a relative recluse in her self-imposed prison, she tries to turn everything off, wanting to feel nothing. But a new acquaintance won’t let that happen. After being away from Alexander for a month, his voice constantly ringing in her head, reminding her that her inability to confront her demons will not only destroy her, but also him, can she really be expected to want to feel again when it brings nothing but pain?
Back in Boston, everywhere he turns, Alexander Burnham is reminded of Olivia… His Olivia… He tries to dull the ache left in his heart the only way he knows how… in the bed of a beautiful woman. But Alexander isn’t about to lose his Olivia. After a clue comes to light regarding Olivia’s whereabouts, can he convince her to return to Boston with him? When a force that has laid dormant for months resurfaces, can Alexander still protect her from the unknown danger? And when Alexander comes face to face with a shadow of both his and Olivia’s past, will he be able to tell her the secret that is threatening to tear them apart?

A Tragic Wreck is the continuation of T.K. Leigh’s heart-breaking Beautiful Mess series.

Meet the Author

T.K. Leigh, otherwise known as Tracy Leigh Kellam, is a producer / attorney by trade. Originally from New England, she now resides in sunny Southern California with her husband, dog and three cats, all of which she has rescued (including the husband). She always had a knack for writing, but mostly in the legal field. It wasn’t until recently that she decided to try her hand at creative writing and is now addicted to creating different characters and new and unique story lines in the Contemporary Romantic Suspense genre.

Her debut novel “A Beautiful Mess” has garnered relative praise, having been an Amazon Best Seller, an Amazon Top-Rated book, and just recently was named by The Guardian as a top reader-recommended self-published book of 2013. Further, it was named an Amazon Romance Editor’s Fan Favorite Pick for Best Debut Author of 2013 and Top Page Turner.

When she’s not planted in front of her computer, writing away, she can be found running and training for her next marathon (of which she has run over fifteen fulls and far too many halfs to recall). Unlike Olivia, the main character in her Beautiful Mess series, she has yet to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

Book two in the Beautiful Mess Series, is a very emotional rolle

Book two in the Beautiful Mess Series, is a very emotional roller coaster ride to say the least. Olivia has succeeded in leaving her life behind and running away, but no matter how far she runs she cannot forget Alexander and how she felt when she was with him. Alexander cannot forget Olivia either, and he tries, but she is never far from his mind. Without giving away the things that happened in this book, I would like to say that T.K. Leigh, has a way of making you feel like you are right there with these characters. There were times I wanted to grab Olivia and shake her until her teeth rattled, and I wanted to pop Alexander up side the head a few times, and shout at them to get their crap together. I kept muttering things to my Kindle, glad that I was not out in public while I was reading. Also, there were parts in the book that I found myself cheering them on. I love Olivia's best friend Kiera, she doesn't put up with any junk, and I absolutely adored Cam and Mo. Some other characters really had me seeing red, like Adele and Chelsea. I will be glad when the next book in the series comes out, although I am sure it will be a very emotional one also, because of the secrets that have to come out. If you have not read this series yet I highly recommend it, because all authors cannot make you feel the emotions that T.K. Leigh can!!

Olivia went from being A Beautiful Mess to a tragic wreck indeed

Olivia went from being A Beautiful Mess to a tragic wreck indeed. Miss Adler needs a reality check and a slap in the face. I know she has this crazy past that she can only remember in dreams and she lost loved ones, but DAMN girl there is this hot slab of beef of a man wanting to protect you from your past and sweep you off of your feet and you run away not once, but twice leaving a trail of broken hearts in your wake.
::::Shakes fists in the air:::: Some chicks in books make me want to launch my Nook across the room! They have men falling at their feet being lead around by their dumb sticks while they cannot get their act together because they are dripping in angst...cue the Pat Benatar song "Stop using sex as a weapon".

I do enjoy the back and forth in the story of Mr. B. and Olivia and the suspense of Olivia's past slowly creeping in. It keeps you flipping the pages wondering when the other shoe is going to drop and then..."Bang, Bang".....cliffhanger!!!

I cannot wait to see how Olivia transforms in to a "Gorgeous Chaos".

4.5 stars I thought I was crushed at the end of A Beautiful Mes

    4.5 stars

I thought I was crushed at the end of A Beautiful Mess, but this book put an ache inside of me. I felt the emotions of both characters. This book was raw and I loved it.

Olivia moved about as far away from Alexander as she could get. She was on a nice, quiet beach with nothing but sexy surfers to stare at. She tried to forget about the despair and all of the feelings she has built up from Alexander. But no matter what she does, she can't forget about him. About the way his touch feels, the way she feels when she's with him.

Alexander knows no one can compare to her, his Olivia. And even though Olivia tries to move on as well, it's not the same. With both of them trying to go forward with their lives they know the connection they feel with one another can't be ignored. It's electric and real.

Before Olivia knew what was happening, Alexander crushed his lips to hers, pulling her body against his own.

For a brief moment, they were the only two people in the universe that mattered. They poured all the emotions that they felt over the past several months into that kiss. It was desperate and passionate and, no matter how much they devoured each other's mouths, it wasn't nearly as deep as they wanted or needed.

T.K. Leigh did a great job with this book. It draws you in right from the start and you are just along for the ride with Olivia and Alexander. This book will leave you begging for the final installment in the series, Gorgeous Chaos. I know I for one can't wait to see how the series will end.

Contains Spoilers - Olivia is annoying

** spoiler alert ** The only reason I didn't give it five stars is Sarah Olivia Adler! She is soooo annoying in this book. I get that she has major abandonment issues, and feels like she can protect herself no matter what. But come on, your dating a celebrity!!! You need a protection detail! Stop whining every time Alexander puts a bodyguard on you. Also, isn't it implied that if your dating a hot guy who must attend charity functions with a date, that you need to be available to be that date? Seriously, she DECIDED to accompany Alexander at the last minute? Don't get me started on the fact that she keeps saying he's not in love with her. He left another woman at the altar for crying out loud. Not to mention the protectiveness and the fact that he spends all of his free time with you! Grow up Ms. Adler! I do like for a character to work through their issues, but I believe with Olivia's character, it's just too much. On a positive note, Alexander is one sexy man! He may be my new book boyfriend!

This is book two in the Beautiful Mess series and cannot be read

This is book two in the Beautiful Mess series and cannot be read as a standalone. All three novels fit together to form one story.

I gave this book 5 stars.
This is the continued story of Alex and Olivia.

Well Olivia knows how to run that is what she does best and that is what she does. She feels haunted by her past and can't handle it and she flees. Not trusting in anyone including herself she goes to clear her head and shut down her emotions. But Alex is not about to give up on the person that he loves. He will fight for her as soon as he finds out where she went. This story is full of more emotional twists then the first one. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and have your heart breaking for the two beautiful souls that you met in the first book. It was torture having to feel all these emotions for two people that you have grown to love so much just wanting them to be happy.

Can they find their happiness? Will she stop running? Will Alex find the woman he loves in time to protect her from the impending danger? Find all of this out and more in the much anticipated sequel to A Beautiful Mess!!

Book starts right where a Beautiful Mess ended; in shambles... Olivia has a hard time with Alexander she loves and hates him, can't live with him but can't function living without him. Surfer Cameron tries to ease her pain, but knows her heart is with another. She can't forget Alexander and move on with her life. Alexander has pushed away the only person he has EVER truly Loved. MY HEART ached in this book the break-up was almost to much for me, but the author keeps you so in throttled that you can not put the book down...BUT I did cry, cuss, and smile while reading this book and I know you will enjoy, no I guarantee you will love it too.

As in love with A Beautiful Mess as I was¿the sequal was even mo

As in love with A Beautiful Mess as I was…the sequal was even more amazing and I can't even convince myself it should not get 5 stars all the freaking way!

I was sooooooo mad at Olivia at the end of A Beautiful Mess I seriously wanted to beat the living hell out of her for what she did. Unfortunately, Mr. B got the full scope of my anger right along with her in the opening of this book. I seriously spent the majority of this book severely pissed off at the both of them and the stupidity in their decision making that seemed to be never ending!!

Olivia's running away was not the worst part, it was the consistent denial and selfishness that was the worst for me. Not only was I mad at Oliva for running, and Alexander for turning into a man whore but then enter Cam and Chelsea….grrrrrr. I Hated both Cam and Chelsea to the core of my being…fortunately Cam redeemed himself and now I love him and feel ridiculously sorry for him. I really hope he gets his own book…that would be absolutely amazing!! Mr. B I am ashamed to say has had some severely awful taste in women in the past. First Adele in A Beautiful Mess…who I hated then, and hate even more in this installment (though I was DYING when she got hers…even if I feel she has a much larger part to play in the next book and that I will detest her even more if that is even possible), then comes Chelsea. By the end of her involvement I kind of felt sorry for Chelsea (though not nearly as much as I did for Cam).

Though it took me a few days to muddle through the first part of this book it had nothing to do with the book…it was completely because I was sooooooo pissed off. I know, it's sad, but the emotional roller coaster this story had me on was ridiculous!! And my god…when you learn the depths of deception that have been pulled off on Olivia for her entire life…I can't wait to get the next installment and find out how flipping nuclear her explosion will be! I cannot even fathom being in her shoes…running sure as hell would not be my defense…I would dig my heels in and reign terror on all those responsible for keeping things from me, regardless of weather or not they felt it was for my own protection.

As with the first one the chemistry and fantastic mind blowing sex between Olivia and Alexander is off the freaking charts, toe curling in anticipation, and downright emotionally draining. And I was extremely happy to get more Mo and Keira in this book…I absolutely loved them and their friendship and loyalty to Oliva…no matter how much she acted like a dumbass.

Seriously, If you have not read A Beautiful Mess (Book 1) or this, you need to go get both of these stories…go one-click them right now!!

I was really indecisive about a 4 star rating vs 3.5 stars. Borh books were quiet good, interesting and suspenseful BUT??? at times it was too much 'Fifty Shades' and the suspense dragged out too ling... At times It felt like Olivia was an immature 18 year old instead of her 27 age. At tomes I really wanted to slap some sense into her. Alexander was a strong character but stupid when it cameto secrets he knew Tsk, rsk, what a shame.... And last but not least, the sex was not very sexy... Let's see what book 3 brings...

Review: Beautiful Mess #2: A Tragic Wreck

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Picking up from the massive cliffhanger ending of book one, A Beautiful Mess, this second book, A Tragic Wreck the rollercoaster resumes it's ride.

Olivia has left Alexander and her friends without a word or a clue as to where she's heading. She ends up in Florida but her mind is still very much in Boston.

Meanwhile, back in Boston, Alexander is a mess. He makes a half-hearted attempt to move on, past Olivia, but it doesn't work. All the while he's never stopped searching for her.

Olivia and Alexander have a dark love for each other that transcends distance and time. Despite their best efforts, the road to love for them is NOT easy, but it is worth it.

Beautifully written, intense and emotional, these two have a soul-mate type of love that will require a box or two of tissues while you ride this crazy roller-coaster.

I cannot express my love for Alexander. The moment this book was available, I spent the next 4 hours reading. Once again T.K. Leigh sucked me into her world of Mr. Burnham and Olivia's for the follow up book, A Tragic Wreck. I have been waiting for this follow up books for months and T.K. Leigh has been teasing us with pictures and little excerpts on FB and it has driven me mad!

This book starts right where A Beautiful Mess ended; in absolute disarray of their lives. Olivia could not handle the truth of what Alexander kept from her in all the time they were together. She can't live with him but can't function without him. The only sanity she has left remains when she meets a surfer she has eyed for the last month. The only problem is she can't mask the feelings she has for Alexander and move on with her life.

As for Alexander, he is left back in Boston knowing he has scared off the only person he has ever loved. My heart was broken 90% of this book. I know I had a looked like someone just kicked my puppy reading it. Now the story of what happens after the break up with Alexander, I cannot tell you. You may curse at me for spoiling it.

I will admit I wanted to yell, cuss, cry and smile when reading this. Okay, I cried....But I guarantee you will too. Loved it till the end. I need more Mr. Burnham and expect him as fast as humanly possible!

I rate the book a 4.8 out of 5. This is an epic rating for an epic story. I will only expect the next book to be the best. One of the best love stories.....sigh.

This is the 2nd installment in this series and let me just say that I kicked myself for waiting to so long to introduce myself to Alexander Burnham. OMGEEEEE this series is AMAZING!!! Now having waited to read A Beautiful Mess and A Tragic Wreck together I was spared the wait to see what would become of Alexander and Olivia’s separation. The story picks up right where A Beautiful Mess left off with Olivia running to protect herself from her fear of losing yet another person she loves. She finds herself hold up in a beach house trying just to exist. While there she catches the eye of Cam who wants nothing more that to “fix” Libby and she is willing because she is looking to feel anything besides her self-inflicted pain and heartache.

Alexander, using all of his resources finally catches a break on Olivia’s whereabouts, but he too has found comfort in the arms on an ex-lover to dull the ache of his loss. Will their reunion be all that Alexander hopes for or will they be forced to live their lives without each other in it?

There were most definitely moments throughout the story in which I wanted to shake and slap some sense into both Alexander and Olivia. I was not a fan of who Alex chose to spend his time with nor Olivia. Olivia just couldn’t seem to get out of her own way and Alex just seemed to be caught in the crossfire looking to find away to escape the pain.

When Olivia finally decides it time to stand by her man, she finds that someone is already standing in her place. But encouraged to at least try, she is crushed when Alex does exactly what Olivia did. He “runs”. Determined to protect himself from the next time Olivia will get scared and run pushes her away only to realize that she is the air he breathes and without her he cannot.

Reunited…..I was over the moon!! Finally…but while Alex and Olivia are trying to hash out their love life others are still planning Olivia’s demise and as more secrets from the past are revealed Alexander becomes more afraid for her safety. Can anyone outside of their immediate circle be trusted? Will Alexander find the courage to tell Olivia about her past or will his fear of losing her win the battle?

The story will take you on a roller coaster ride allowing you to feel pain, sorrow, joy, happiness and love all the while waiting for the next twist in the story to get your pulse racing and your anger flowing. I truly devoured this book just as I did A Beautiful Mess and I am sooooo looking forward to Gorgeous Chaos. Yes, I even told T.K. Leigh that I was not against begging for an early release of it so that I would not have to be without Mr. Burnham for too long. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Burnham I urge you to do so…..you will not be disappointed and will probably berate yourself as I did for waiting so long.

Where do I start with this book? Sigh. This is probably one of the most painful books I have ever read - definitely in the top five. If you were frustrated with Olivia's actions at the end of A Beautiful Mess, you are going to want to strangle her while reading A Tragic Wreck. And then after that you will want to smack the hell out of Alexander. These two make so many unnecessary mistakes and are basically slowly killing each other. It is pure agony watching it all unfold. T.K. Leigh exquisitely tortures the reader for what feels like the majority of the book. This was my second time reading A Tragic Wreck as I was lucky to be part of a beta read a while back, and I cried just as hard this time around. And I'm not talking about silent tears, oh no, this is an ugly cry kind of book. A.G.O.N.Y. But there are also some very happy moments and of course hot as hell Alexander Burnham style sex. That man's mouth and dominance are delicious!

There is no happily ever after just yet, and I have my doubts if these two can ever have one, but I will say that this ends on a better note than book one. Plus there is also a hint of a major blow up and danger to come to drive your anticipation up another notch.
