Overview

RECOMMENDED FOR READERS 18 AND OVER DUE TO STRONG LANGUAGE, EXPLICIT SEXUAL SITUATIONS AND MILD VIOLENCE.

THIS IS THE SECOND BOOK IN A THREE BOOK SERIES WHICH MUST BE READ IN ORDER.

How can you continue living when you're living a lie? How can you convince your body to stop feeling, your soul to stop caring, and your heart to stop beating?

Haunted by her past, Olivia Adler flees Boston for a beach in Florida, leaving everyone behind, trying to shut the world out. Remaining a relative recluse in her self-imposed prison, she tries to turn everything off, wanting to feel nothing. But a new acquaintance won't let that happen. After being away from Alexander for a month, his voice constantly ringing in her head, reminding her that her inability to confront her demons will not only destroy her, but also him, can she really be expected to want to feel again when it brings nothing but pain?
Back in Boston, everywhere he turns, Alexander Burnham is reminded of Olivia... His Olivia... He tries to dull the ache left in his heart the only way he knows how... in the bed of a beautiful woman. But Alexander isn't about to lose his Olivia. After a clue comes to light regarding Olivia's whereabouts, can he convince her to return to Boston with him? When a force that has laid dormant for months resurfaces, can Alexander still protect her from the unknown danger? And when Alexander comes face to face with a shadow of both his and Olivia's past, will he be able to tell her the secret that is threatening to tear them apart?

A Tragic Wreck is the continuation of T.K. Leigh's heart-breaking Beautiful Mess series.

Meet the Author

T.K. Leigh, otherwise known as Tracy Leigh Kellam, is a producer / attorney by trade. Originally from New England, she now resides in sunny Southern California with her husband, dog and three cats, all of which she has rescued (including the husband). She always had a knack for writing, but mostly in the legal field. It wasn’t until recently that she decided to try her hand at creative writing and is now addicted to creating different characters and new and unique story lines in the Contemporary Romantic Suspense genre.

Her debut novel “A Beautiful Mess” has garnered relative praise, having been an Amazon Best Seller, an Amazon Top-Rated book, and just recently was named by The Guardian as a top reader-recommended self-published book of 2013. Further, it was named an Amazon Romance Editor’s Fan Favorite Pick for Best Debut Author of 2013 and Top Page Turner.

When she’s not planted in front of her computer, writing away, she can be found running and training for her next marathon (of which she has run over fifteen fulls and far too many halfs to recall). Unlike Olivia, the main character in her Beautiful Mess series, she has yet to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

This is a great story idea, but these chsrscters are so childish and annoying. This should be one book not three. The amount of back and forth just gets boring.

Book two in the Beautiful Mess Series, is a very emotional roller coaster ride to say the least. Olivia has succeeded in leaving her life behind and running away, but no matter how far she runs she cannot forget Alexander and how she felt when she was with him. Alexander cannot forget Olivia either, and he tries, but she is never far from his mind. Without giving away the things that happened in this book, I would like to say that T.K. Leigh, has a way of making you feel like you are right there with these characters. There were times I wanted to grab Olivia and shake her until her teeth rattled, and I wanted to pop Alexander up side the head a few times, and shout at them to get their crap together. I kept muttering things to my Kindle, glad that I was not out in public while I was reading. Also, there were parts in the book that I found myself cheering them on. I love Olivia's best friend Kiera, she doesn't put up with any junk, and I absolutely adored Cam and Mo. Some other characters really had me seeing red, like Adele and Chelsea. I will be glad when the next book in the series comes out, although I am sure it will be a very emotional one also, because of the secrets that have to come out. If you have not read this series yet I highly recommend it, because all authors cannot make you feel the emotions that T.K. Leigh can!!

Literally picks up where book one left off. This one was so much more emotional than the first one. I couldn't put this one down either, I found myself trying to sneak in a couple of pgs while at work! More suspense, steamy sex, music and of course live. This is an emotional roller-coaster that won't disappoint if you enjoyed the first book. Playlist included at the end 299 pgs.

I am so thankful I didn't start this series until all three books were available. If I had to wait for the next I may have gone slighly mad. These books are that good. My family will be happy when I finish so they are not left to fend for themselves while I live in the world of Olivia and Alexander. Between my tears with them, my anger towards them, and my excitement for them I am sure my family has been enjoying the show... at least until I display these emotions at 3:00am because I am so absorbed I can't put the book down and sleep!

Unfortunately I'm the type of reader who hates to not finish a story. So when I was through with the first book in this series, even though I didn't care for it, I started the second book hoping my opinion would change. Sadly, it didn't. The second book was even more frustrating than the first. I'll start with my biggest pet peeve, when an author gives a character a military background but the information isn't correct. Being a military wife, that really annoys me. I'm constantly saying, "Nope, that's not right" or "It isn't called that", etc. I really liked the idea of the story and plot but like in the first book, that characters completely ruined this book for me. I was hoping for growth from them and didn't see any. They were very immature and so melodramatic, it ruined the book for me. The heroine, Olivia, was so weak and I just wanted to scream at her. Alex was frustrating as well. he never had a serious relationship and only uses women for sex, but as soon as things go south with Olivia he runs to his former bed buddy and gets engaged. Seriously? I really wish the author would have written her characters like the adults they are supposed to be versus acting like they are in middle school. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this series.

OK T.K. has ya hooked. The way #2 ends you just gotta read #3 although u can really assume how it's gonna play out. would have to agree with some reviews too much back and forth drama, drama, drama and main character is melodramatic but still a good read . Worth it :-)

After finishing the first in this series I immediately started this book even though it was nearly 3 a.m. I couldn't get enough of Olivia and Alexander and their backstory. I found myself completely and utterly absorbed into this book!

Olivia went from being A Beautiful Mess to a tragic wreck indeed. Miss Adler needs a reality check and a slap in the face. I know she has this crazy past that she can only remember in dreams and she lost loved ones, but DAMN girl there is this hot slab of beef of a man wanting to protect you from your past and sweep you off of your feet and you run away not once, but twice leaving a trail of broken hearts in your wake. ::::Shakes fists in the air:::: Some chicks in books make me want to launch my Nook across the room! They have men falling at their feet being lead around by their dumb sticks while they cannot get their act together because they are dripping in angst...cue the Pat Benatar song "Stop using sex as a weapon". I do enjoy the back and forth in the story of Mr. B. and Olivia and the suspense of Olivia's past slowly creeping in. It keeps you flipping the pages wondering when the other shoe is going to drop and then..."Bang, Bang".....cliffhanger!!! I cannot wait to see how Olivia transforms in to a "Gorgeous Chaos".

4.5 stars I thought I was crushed at the end of A Beautiful Mess, but this book put an ache inside of me. I felt the emotions of both characters. This book was raw and I loved it. Olivia moved about as far away from Alexander as she could get. She was on a nice, quiet beach with nothing but sexy surfers to stare at. She tried to forget about the despair and all of the feelings she has built up from Alexander. But no matter what she does, she can't forget about him. About the way his touch feels, the way she feels when she's with him. Alexander knows no one can compare to her, his Olivia. And even though Olivia tries to move on as well, it's not the same. With both of them trying to go forward with their lives they know the connection they feel with one another can't be ignored. It's electric and real. Before Olivia knew what was happening, Alexander crushed his lips to hers, pulling her body against his own. For a brief moment, they were the only two people in the universe that mattered. They poured all the emotions that they felt over the past several months into that kiss. It was desperate and passionate and, no matter how much they devoured each other's mouths, it wasn't nearly as deep as they wanted or needed. T.K. Leigh did a great job with this book. It draws you in right from the start and you are just along for the ride with Olivia and Alexander. This book will leave you begging for the final installment in the series, Gorgeous Chaos. I know I for one can't wait to see how the series will end.

** spoiler alert ** The only reason I didn't give it five stars is Sarah Olivia Adler! She is soooo annoying in this book. I get that she has major abandonment issues, and feels like she can protect herself no matter what. But come on, your dating a celebrity!!! You need a protection detail! Stop whining every time Alexander puts a bodyguard on you. Also, isn't it implied that if your dating a hot guy who must attend charity functions with a date, that you need to be available to be that date? Seriously, she DECIDED to accompany Alexander at the last minute? Don't get me started on the fact that she keeps saying he's not in love with her. He left another woman at the altar for crying out loud. Not to mention the protectiveness and the fact that he spends all of his free time with you! Grow up Ms. Adler! I do like for a character to work through their issues, but I believe with Olivia's character, it's just too much. On a positive note, Alexander is one sexy man! He may be my new book boyfriend!

This is book two in the Beautiful Mess series and cannot be read as a standalone. All three novels fit together to form one story.  I gave this book 5 stars.  This is the continued story of Alex and Olivia.  Well Olivia knows how to run that is what she does best and that is what she does. She feels haunted by her past and can't handle it and she flees. Not trusting in anyone including herself she goes to clear her head and shut down her emotions. But Alex is not about to give up on the person that he loves. He will fight for her as soon as he finds out where she went. This story is full of more emotional twists then the first one. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and have your heart breaking for the two beautiful souls that you met in the first book. It was torture having to feel all these emotions for two people that you have grown to love so much just wanting them to be happy. Can they find their happiness? Will she stop running? Will Alex find the woman he loves in time to protect her from the impending danger? Find all of this out and more in the much anticipated sequel to A Beautiful Mess!!

Book starts right where a Beautiful Mess ended; in shambles... Olivia has a hard time with Alexander she loves and hates him, can't live with him but can't function living without him. Surfer Cameron tries to ease her pain, but knows her heart is with another. She can't forget Alexander and move on with her life. Alexander has pushed away the only person he has EVER truly Loved. MY HEART ached in this book the break-up was almost to much for me, but the author keeps you so in throttled that you can not put the book down...BUT I did cry, cuss, and smile while reading this book and I know you will enjoy, no I guarantee you will love it too.
