Title of review: A True Patriot
Number of stars (1 to 5): 4 Stars
This book is about a boy named William Thomas Emerson, and how Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Thompson changed his life. It is also about the 13 colonies gaining independence from Britain.
Description and summary of main points
Will ran away from his home and his abusive parents. Mr. Wilson found Will on his roadside bed, and invited him to Boston. Will lived with Mrs. Thompson in Boston, with a little girl named Becca, and Mrs. Thompson’s dog. He worked at the Seven Stars Tavern. Listening to the people in the Tavern talk, he realizes how important the revolutionary cause is, and wants to do all he can to help. They are ruled by the British. The British soldiers do very horrible things. They set houses on fire, shot wild animals for no reason, murdered families, and they even killed children. Will is trying to decide how much he is willing to sacrifice for his freedom, and the freedom of the other citizens.
This book is very interesting. There are many emotional things that happen.
Many people were murdered by the British soldiers. The colonists were really angry about them killing innocents, and taking their freedoms.
