All Music Guide - Stewart Mason
The second album by Secondhand Serenade, aka singer/songwriter John Vesely, finds the former solo artist making a grab for the pop-emo brass ring. (He has explained the band name by saying that his songs are all dedicated to his wife, and the fact that others get to hear them is secondary: hence, Secondhand Serenade.) The result is an alt-pop record comparable to the likes of Five for Fighting or even the mellow Jason Mraz.

    Second Hand Serenade

I Absoultly LOVE this CD!! The music is beautifully written and it's not over the top mixing. It's soulful and his voice is beautiful. The recording sounds so personal and I love the fact that it's almost all acustic. I've listen to this CD at least five times a week over and over again.
