I read this book when it was first issued back in the early 80's. At that time I was interested in racing my motorcycle and found the information very informative. All these years later, I picked up a new edition of the book, since I am once again riding. The book is really biased towards those who are looking to go race their motorcycles, but it does contain quite a bit of detailed (if not a bit dry) information on how to handle your motorcycle, both on the street and on the track.
If you are a beginning rider, I am sure that if you are required to take a rider safety course, this book will be recommended by your instructor. I found it quite refreshing to re-read this book, and hopefully put some of the information contained to good use.
Keith Code is a renowned expert in the field of riding fast, and gives good examples of what to look for when riding, such as how to go faster in corners, looking for markers as to when to turn, brake and accelerate.
This book is one that I would highly recommend.
