Overview

Can Christmas Eve get any more fun? On her way to her family's home, Carol Prescott’s car slides into a ditch in a deserted area with no cell phone signal. The only available shelter is already occupied…by a vampire. To Michael Carpenter, Carol is the bait of a trap.

In an effort to hold onto his soul, Michael has resisted the urge to drink human blood for almost a century. Now he hovers between human and vampire. If he doesn’t drink from a human before the night ends, he’ll die. He’s desperately thirsty, but Michael has seen the soulless monsters vampires are and he prefers death. Carol is pure temptation to him, the Christmas present from hell…or is it from heaven?

I thought this was a great read. I really want to know how Carol and Michael end up.....maybe a sequel in the future? I hope so!

An involving story. Stranded in a snowstorm on Christmas Eve, Carol finds refuge at the only house in sight. Only problem is, the owner is a vampire who is on a self-imposed fast. Will they make it through the night together? Or will he give in to his craving for blood? The author handles the suspense skillfully, revealing the characters in an interesting manner, and ramping up the suspense as the night wears on. This is basically a romance, so we're almost sure we know how it will end--but not quite, as the vampire's sire turns up to urge the vampire to give in to his natural urges. Be warned though, this is not a book, more an extended short story or short novella.

Such a poignant love story - there are no limits to the lengths a person will go to save the one they love. Can't wait for Karen McCullough's next book, she is a wonderful story teller.

I loved it. I couldn't put it down. As far as vampire romance goes, it was an unusual twist. I only wish it had been a little more romantic and let the reader get a sneak peek at their new life together. Recommended highly.

It was a little different story line. No explicit sex but a little romance. It was a nice change and interesting.
