A VAMPIRE'S DEADLY DELIGHT

She's a quiet, unassuming bookstore owner by day, but by night...

Kristen has a deadly secret-when she smells a vampire, she turns into Jai, a beauti-licious babe who makes vamps permanently dead. To a vamp, Jai is like ambrosia. They can't resist her. She uses this attraction, plus her super strength and her trusty blade, Mr. Sticky, to end their undead lives. The thrill of wearing miniskirts without worrying about cellulite stifles any qualms Kristen might have about killing the undead. Being Jai is the most fun she has ever had-until they come up against the one vampire Jai can't kill. If he and Jai have a history, as he claims, Jai can't remember it...or him.

But when her work catches the attention of some old enemies-who won't hesitate to destroy Kristen if it also means the end of Jai-this vampire may be their only hope. Can Kristen and Jai learn to tell the difference between good and evil in time to defeat Jai's ancient nemesis? Or will being Jai's hostess cost Kristen more than just her beauty sleep?

Editorial Reviews

The plot was interesting and different, with enough twists and turns to keep me hooked, as the bags under my eyes attest. Plus there were some pretty hot sex scenes—well, almost sex scenes, I guess, since they didn’t actually get to finish, but what was done was still pretty hot and steamy. All in all, A Vampire's Deadly Delight is a really fun read.

The concept of a quiet, unassuming bookstore owner morphing into a vampire slayer when she smells the scent of an undead is fun and clever. Add to that the concept of a vampire slayer who starts having trouble slaying said vampires, and you get a cute, intriguing story that is fun to read. Then throw in gorgeous hunks, some steamy sex, and a generous helping of wit and humor, and the book becomes a must read you won’t be able to put down.

A Vampire's Deadly Delight is cute, funny, exciting, and sexy. It’s short, which is good because once I started it, I couldn’t put it down. And wouldn’t you know, I started it on a night when I had to work the next day so I couldn’t just relax and enjoy it. Bummer. But as it was short, it only kept me up for half the night, not all of it. Still, it was worth it. A must-read you won’t be able to put down.

A Vampire’s Deadly Delight is a delightful paranormal romance/chick lit novella. Chick Lit isn’t really my genre, but nevertheless, I found the book thoroughly enjoyable. It’s cute, funny, intriguing, and the plot line is very different for a paranormal romance. The book has one heroine with two identities. Or should I say it has two heroines sharing the same body? Either way, the storyline is fresh and intriguing.

    Wonderful Book!!!

A Vampire’s Deadly Delight is a very entertaining paranormal romance. I received a complimentary review copy for my nook and was very pleased with it. The main character Kristen owns a bookstore, is destined to be forever single and has some very interesting “friends”. I loved the fact that Ms. Rancourt filled the book with references to some of the greatest leading men in literary history all of which Kristen considers as her “ex” boyfriends. As a lover of anything and everything vampire, I also loved all the references to the literary vampires. This story centers around Kristen and Jai who is a vampire hunter who shares Kristen’s physical body. When ever Kristen smells vampire, Jai appears in order to kill the bad vampire, but what if the vampire is not bad? That is the big question. Kristen loves the excitement Jai brings but does she want to keep doing this forever. Throw in a possible new love interest for Kristen and a very old love interest for Jai and you get a great story! Loved the book!!! Great read for everybody vampire fan or not!!
