Meet the Author

Alexis Morgan grew up near St. Louis, Missouri, graduating from the University of Missouri with a B.A. in English, cum laude. She met her future husband sitting outside one of her classes in her freshman year, although it wasn't until the next fall that they actually started dating. They were married in St. Louis, but eventually his job took them to the Pacific Northwest where they've now lived for close to thirty years.

Author of more than eighteen full-length books, short stories and novellas, Alexis began her career writing contemporary romances and then moved on to historicals set in the American West. However, beginning in 2006, she crossed over to the dark side. She really loves writing paranormal romances, finding the world building and developing of her own mythology for her characters especially satisfying. Alexis currently writes three paranormal series set in very different worlds, which serve as backdrops for her powerful warrior heroes: The Paladins of Darkness, The Talions and her exciting vampire stories for Silhouette Nocturne.

    I did not care for this story very much. I am used to how she writes for her other series and this was very different. Not my cup of tea. I enjoy vampire stories....just not this series very much.

    Disappointingly SHORT

    This book was 53 pages of reading. Disappointing of B&N not to be upfront about it. The story felt like the last chapter of a full book, somehow. They should warn this is a short story not a book.
