Overview

Merry Christmas!

And I hope you have a Very YA Holiday with this special collection of seven holiday stories told purely from the young adult point of view.

In our first story, Christmas Broken, two sworn enemies find comfort – and love – by the cozy fire of an empty bookstore on Christmas Eve.

In our next story, Dumping Dexter, Christmas break is almost over and it’s time for ultra-cool Kira Loftgren to finally dump mega-dork Dexter Dempsey.

Sure, they had a brief, if spicy, winter fling but she can’t exactly be seen with someone like Dexter once school starts back up in the New Year. But when her holiday play thing breaks up with her first, it turns out Dumping Dexter is going to be a lot harder than Kira thought…

Next up is Now Showing in Snowflake, where a Christmas Eve shift at the Snowflake Cinemas turns into a real blockbuster for one lonely movie theater usher and her surprise customer.

Then we have a paranormal twist on the holidays in our fourth story, The Ghost in the Aisle Seat. It's Christmas Eve and Haley Smythe is working the late shift at Snowflake Cinema. But she's not alone.

At her side is a notorious local ghost hunter, out for his biggest scoop yet. And in Theater 6 is a man who claims to see his wife – his dead wife – in that very cinema, every year on Christmas Eve. As the three converge on this holiday night, secrets will be revealed and all will meet... The Ghost in the Aisle Seat.

In Once Upon a Christmas, what starts out as a boring home-for-Christmas job at the local Books ‘N Beans Café becomes anything but when a mysterious – and adorable – bookworm starts making nightly appearances.

In Silent Night, our sixth story, Grace Palmer’s boyfriend, Grady, died suddenly one year ago. But that’s okay, because tonight it’s Christmas Eve, and he’s promised to visit Grace at the Spin Cycle Laundromat… one way or the other.

Finally, in Elf Wanted, all Toby Wyatt wants is a job bussing tables at Holly Days Diner. What he doesn’t expect is how hard it will be to earn his “candy cane” pin at the popular year-round Christmas restaurant. But he gets a little help from an unexpected friend when he learns that Grace Chalmers, a girl from school, works there as well.

I hope you enjoy these seven festive stories, and that you have a Very YA Holiday… whatever time of year it may be!!
