"A breathtaking new epic fantasy series. Morgan Rice does it again! This magical sorcery saga reminds me of the best of J.K. Rowling, George R.R. Martin, Rick Riordan, Christopher Paolini and J.R.R. Tolkien. I couldn't put it down!" --Allegra Skye, Bestselling author of SAVED In A VOW OF GLORY (Book #5 in the Sorcerer's Ring), Thor embarks with his Legion friends on an epic quest into the vast wilds of the Empire to try to find the ancient Destiny Sword and save the Ring. Thor's friendships deepen, as they journey to new places, face unexpected monsters and fight side by side in unimaginable battle. They encounter exotic lands, creatures and peoples beyond which they could have ever imagined, each step of their journey fraught with increasing danger. They will have to summon all their skills if they are to survive as they follow the trail of the thieves, deeper and deeper into the Empire. Their quest will bring them all the way into the heart of the Underworld, one of the seven realms of hell, where the undead rule and fields are lined with bones. As Thor must summon his powers, more than ever, he struggles to understand the nature of who he is. Back in the Ring, Gwendolyn must lead half of King's Court to the Western stronghold of Silesia, an ancient city perched on the edge of the Canyon that has stood for one thousand years. Silesia's fortifications have allowed it to survive every attack throughout every century-but it has never been faced with an assault by a leader like Andronicus, by an army like his million men. Gwendolyn learns what it means to be queen as she takes on a leadership role, Srog, Kolk, Brom, Steffen, Kendrick and Godfrey by her side, preparing to defend the city for the massive war to come. Meanwhile, Gareth is descending deeper into madness, trying to fend off a coup that would have him assassinated in King's Court, while Erec fights for his life to save his love, Alistair and the Duke's city of Savaria as the downed shield enables the wild creatures to invade. And Godfrey, wallowing in drink, will have to decide if he is ready to cast off his past and become the man his family expects him to be. As they all fight for their lives and as things seem as if they can't get any worse, the story ends with two shocking twists. Will Gwendolyn survive the assault? Will Thor survive the Empire? Will the Destiny Sword be found? With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A VOW OF GLORY is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders. It is 75,000 words. Book #6 in the series will be published soon. "Grabbed my attention from the beginning and did not let go....This story is an amazing adventure that is fast paced and action packed from the very beginning. There is not a dull moment to be found." --Paranormal Romance Guild {regarding Turned} "Jam packed with action, romance, adventure, and suspense. Get your hands on this one and fall in love all over again." --vampirebooksite.com (regarding Turned) "A great plot, and this especially was the kind of book you will have trouble putting down at night. The ending was a cliffhanger that was so spectacular that you will immediately want to buy the next book, just to see what happens." --The Dallas Examiner {regarding Loved}

    WOW !! What a great book. This series has gotten better and better with each book. Morgan Rice has outdone herself with this installment. Hero’s and villains, so many twists and turns I could not wait to turn every page. This book left off in a great spot that made me hate to end the book and have to get my hands on the next installment at the same time. I have read all of the books Morgan Rice has written in order and she has done something incredible here. It was a fast and easy read that I would also let my children read. Morgan Rice has created a story which has worlds within worlds and stories intertwined with stories and plans within plans that are simply incredible. The betrayal of the main characters at almost every level and trying to see ahead an anticipate where the traps lie was a lot of fun too. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

    Conflicted!

    I have read up to book 5 so far and love the STORY! But the writing style of the author is difficult at best. I had expected allot better. The recyled character names, continual use of "as one" and characters names (example "Thor stood on a hill. Thor looked up. Thor smiled. Thor felt the wind on his face" drove me crazy!! Not to mention continuious errors when suddenly a character would have something that the previous page said he did not. Or using the wrong name. Also I found most of her characters to be unbelievable and the ones I liked the most actually said the least if that tells you anything. I am very dissapointed in her books and now understand why they are all under $5. I will not be wasting my time and money on any more of this authors books. :(

    Morgan Rices's latest installment of the sorcerers ring is brilliant, I think that it is easy to read and continuing a great story, it finishes on a total cliffhanger without giving any spoilers i can't really say anything about it other than I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE. I have really enjoyed the story so far and i encourage people to read the first 4 before this one, it is definitely worth your time. Rice has a great way of making you feel for her characters and you really are cheering the ring along. I would say that she should sack her proof reader though.... I could help there if needed :)

    The story is addicting. Its action packed and the characters leave you wanting to know what happens to them. Rice is banging these books out super fast which has its ups and its downs... The upside, you dont have to wait in suspense too long until the next book comes out, but the downside is the feelings, thoughts, recurrent fighting moves and moments of suspense are all a little repetitive in their descriptions. There is a definite lack of depth that would only evolve through more time and effort of which Rice sacrifices to keep this story going quickly. So heres the deal- dont expect a writing style that will last through the ages, or even drive you to recommend to others based on it alone (like for example, Ken Follett) but if youre looking for a story line that is engrossing, action packed, comprehensive, and imaginative, then id recommend this series to escape into.

    This book picks up where it left off in book 4. The beginning starts with the arrival of the empire, and the beginning of a war on a massive scale which has not been seen in the recent history of the ring. As with the previous books she adds to the characters' personas, and still manages to surprise us at the end with a plot twist that is truly surprising. This is a must read if you have started the series , because it starts to answer questions from the start of a series

    You will be ready to get the next book before you are done.

    Enjoy the fact that each book picks up where it left off, no back peddling or missing sections. Keeps your interest and moves quickly. This isn't something I usually read but was hooked after first book.

    Fun to read until I hit some lazy editing - seriously, "face plant"?  Someone taking a knife from Krohn's hand?
     I'm also getting tired of people getting killed by spears through the throat.  No knock on the author, but her
    editor obviously phoned it in.

    more from this reviewer

    Really a disappointment

    I like a good serial book but really this is getting old. It is kinda like a Star Wars rip off evil father, obewon type character, blah blah blah bring it to an end already!!!!!! Poor spelling, lousy character development. don't waist your time. One star is being generous.
