The French Quarter is a culturally fascinating place, incorporating diverse cultures, subcultures, ethnic backgrounds and religions to make this kind of spicy stew of difference. The Walking Tour gives you a little deeper look into many great landmarks. What I especially liked was that they were often reinforced but fundamentally different than the municipal signs of the same spots - they each told half the story and brought together is a fully picture. If you're new to New Orleans, this is a great first step to getting your bearings and delving into the rich history of this quirky town.
