Overview

A naked woman, blonde and beautiful, stands in the Henderson’s front yard at 2:30 in the morning… her spacecraft arrives and settles into position over the Henderson house… “Stephanie, my dear girl, can’t we be friends? Oh, I think we can.” Thirteen year–old Stephanie Henderson along with her parents, Bill and Christina, embarks on an odyssey of psychological adventure and spiritual discovery. Bill and Christina confront their own private demons, experience their personal Hells, and together reach an epiphany of enlightenment that changes them forever. Meanwhile, Stephanie and her “friend,” travel from the Jurassic Era to the Crucifixion, uncovering eternal truths on the path to self-awareness. The teenager goes shopping in a mall millions of light years away and performs on a rock ‘n’ roll concert stage on the way to discovering her calling and confronting the nature of good and evil.

THE BOOK IS WELL WRITTEN FROM THE FIRST PAGE'S DRAMATIC POEM TO THE LAST PRINTED WORD........ IT IS A MULTIFACTORAL PICTURE OF PUBERTY, YOUNG MIDDLE AGE, AND THE MATURE AS SEEN THROUGH THE EYES OF THE AUTHOR AND ABOVE THE READERS OWN ABILITIES TO SEE THE DEPTHS OF THEIR OWN SEXUALITY SPIRITUALITY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL PERSUASIONS.... THIS BOOK HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A BEST SELLER AND THE AUTHOR SHOULD DEVELOP THIS THEME TO GREATER DEPTHS WITH SUBSEQUENT WRITINGS SUCH AS THIS ONE..... I PERSONALLY FEEL THE AUTHOR'S LONGINGS FOR HIS OWN VALIDITY IN HIS WRITINGS Of THIS GIRL AND WONDER IF HE WILL FIND HIMSELF ALONG THE WAY........ BEING IN SPACE DOES NOT COMPLICATE THE DILEMNAS SHE FINDS HERSELF FACING WHICH SAYS TO ME ENVIRONMENT IS A PART OF THE AUTHOR'S VIEWS THAT PLAY A STRONG IF NOT THE STONGEST ROLE IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT OF SPIRITUALITY AND SEXUALITY. IS THIS TRUE? WOULD FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SUBJECT BE WARRANTED IN THE QUESTION BY A SEQUEL TO THIS BOOK?..... WOULD BE VERY INTERESTING TO SEE. I WOULD LOOK FORWARD TO HIS VIEWS I KNOW. AND TO SEE THIS THEME DEVELOP EVEN WITH SCRIPTURAL QUOTES MAKES ME EVEN MORE CURIOUS TO FOLLOW IT UP WITH MORE THOUGHTS ON THE SUBJECT......... MR ENGKRAF, ARE YOU PLANNING ON MORE ENLIGHTENING BOOKS IN THIS ARENA? I HOPE AND WILL BE WATCHING FOR UPDATES.... THANK YOU FOR WRITING THIS BOOK AND THANK THE WOMEN OF MY READER'S GUILD FOR RECOMMENDING IT TO ME. ENLIGHTENING!!

This book was wonderful. I had been experiencing a spiritual drought and the wonderful poem it began with, and the excellent selection from scripture, and the amazing first page that was so original and interesting that the reader has to read it over and over again is so enthralling! The way it brought the spiritual reflection into everyday through a science fiction character. The way the young girls growth into womanhood was captured so charmingly, mixed with the spiritual and sexual and the very down to earth relationships between her and her parents. The book seemed to capture an existence, a natural mileiu that many young women exist in with questions and challenges. The book challenged the reader to the same growth that the young woman was faced with, in relationships, choices, responses to temptation and excess, and responsibilities towards the future. I so appreciate the sacrifice Mr. Engkraf made to write this book. His book is already one of my most favorites, and I was an English major in college and have read alot. It is definitely in the top ten. And of all the books I have ever read, its the one that hits home the most, because it relates to me and my own growth struggles as a woman. I am amazed at his talent and want him to keep writing for my sake!
