Brilliant! Traditional Music at Its Best

This is one of my favorite albums. Every track is a gem. Two of note are Hush, My Babe and Erev Shel Shoshanim. Sometimes the genres seem to be confused (Christmas carols and old-time fiddle) but somehow Robin Bullock, Ken Kolodner and Chris Norman make it work beautifully. I wouldn't have believed they played the Chinese set, over 8 minutes, by themselves if I hadn't seen it myself in person. Just some glorious music.
My only small complaint is Dorian Records tends to record everything au naturale and the sound fluctuates from a tiny whisper (the beginning of Il Est Ne) to very loud, as in Pretty Little Dog. But I really love this album and would recommend it for some holiday fare that is not cliche! Five stars!
