This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed the story. Noah wants to protcet Sadie, his love, but his actions end up pushing her away and ends up crushing her self-esteem. They are bound by law to become mates, which neither wants, because Noah can't protect her and Sadie thinks Noah hates her.
I have read many shifter books by lots of authors. I thought the use of other magical beings was a nice twist (I.e. genie, elf, fairy, etc) and the fact they actually have magical powers. Most other authors just give them super human strength.
I do wish this book was longer. I hope this turns into a series.

This book was a great first story in Ms Wakely's new series. I enjoyed not only Noah and Sadie and the byplay between them but also the peek we were given at the Council and the other species that live in our world and/or The Mythical Realm. As well, Sadie's real world friends were good friends to her and appropriately scathing to and about Noah.
The only complaint I have about this story is one most readers had - its NOT ENOUGH! There were so many opportunities for Ms Wakely to give us more but as this is only a novella, that makes it difficult. I would have loved for this to be a full length book and sincerely hope that the next books in this series are longer so we can enjoy the characters and learn more about her Mythical Realm and those who rule it.
I definitely recommend this book and am anxiously awaiting the second one! I am also excited to check out Ms Wakely's other series.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

The cover looks sweet and beautiful :) I like it though the wolf is looking very scrawny :)
I really loved this novella. Jane’s stories are awesome, but this has been the best I’ve read yet. It had lots of action and drama.
Poor Sadie has self-esteem issues and is in love with Noah who keeps doing things that cause her to think less and less of herself. Noah is actually a nice guy who is just an idiot, but I’m not going to tell you more than that. You just have to read it :)
I love Jane’s work. Her writing is easy to love :) I have no trouble being pulled right into the story and the characters’ lives. I definitely can’t wait for more in this series because I think I’m going to love them all :)
I highly recommend this novella to my shifter lovin’ friends…you know who you are ;)
