Leighann Mccoy is an author who combines spiritual depth, honest humor, a dose of laughter and loads of practical application as she tackles the real issues. She is passionate about speaking and writing to women about experiencing intimacy with God and learning to trust Him in all of life’s circumstances. She is the founder of Pray All The Way Ministries and she offers offers retreats, banquet messages, and prayer workshops through her website. Her latest book, Woman’s Guide to Hearing God’s Voice,  Finding Direction and Peace Through the Struggles of Life is a wonderful introduction to learning the steps to listening to God – especially in moments of hardship and trials. I think in the hard moments, in the struggles and the loss of life, those are the times when we feel like God is either distant or silent. Trials cause us to doubt the road we’re on, they might even cause us to doubt that God is watching or even cares. Leighann uses those tough examples to reveal how we can find God even in the dark times. Through real examples from her own life, the author explores both wrestling with God’s will and those moments when God feels absent. I would recommend this book to any woman who is currently struggling or walking through a “valley” in her life. This book includes study guides and questions and would be a great resource to a women’s small group ministry. Thank you to Bethany House for this review copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.
