Reviewed by Jennifer Rummel for TeensReadToo.com

Three best friends from Texas set out together to spend a year of high school in Europe's biggest cities.

Kit travels to London to try and become a proper lady. She believes that she'll have a new sister as a housemate -- imagine her surprise when Robin turns out to be a boy (and a real hottie!). Unfortunately, he has a girlfriend with serious snark aimed at Kit and all of her traveling blunders.

Dana journeys to Paris for a romantic relationship, but instead she seems to always run into a boy from Texas. To make things worse, she keeps thinking about him when all she wants is to be swept off her feet by a Frenchman.

Carrie spends her year in Rome, where her father still has family. While working at the family restaurant, she meets a gorgeous waiter who happens to hate Americans. She tricks him by blending into the Italian world and now she knows her heart will break when he learns the truth.

All three girls come to terms with themselves and romance during their year abroad. Read this novel and be swept off your feet while traveling the world in your pajamas. Rachel Hawthorne is one of the top writers of teen romance!

    i loved dana and alex

Dana and Alex's story made me cry. It was just beautiful. The first one was okay, and the third didnt hold my interest at all, so i didnt read it. so i do reccomend it, but id just check it out at the library rather than spend money you dont have.

Good read for a rainy day

I love Rachel Hawthorne's books. They all know how to drag you into the story. This particular one actually has 3 different stories. Three best friends from Texas all go to different schools in other countries for a school year; one goes to England, another to France, and the last to Italy. The plot lines are pretty basic but they each have their individual characteristics which makes it more interesting.

    The Most Amazing Book!

This book was so good that I bought the individual books on Amazon because they were just so amazing! I read it in one night and couldn't put it down. This book has really shown me that it is so much fun to go abroad and that a semester abroad is actually a really good idea. I love this book and have read it so many times that I had to get another copy because it was getting so torn up. I LOVE THIS BOOK!

a little corny but very cute :]

i really liked all three novels in this book, i liked the second novel the best i can't figure out why though...one warning is that all the novels are a little corny and a little 90's but its still good none the less. they are all similar love stories but they're good reads overall :]]

    Realism in Fiction?

I read this book about a year ago and it was a spectacular read, especially during the summer. I loved how all three stories were connected to get each other and how important each character was to each other. The story of each girl was not totally realistic but when reading a fictional story who is looking for realism? I would think no one because it's not suppose to be realistic. Hence why its called fiction. I would recommend this book and I already have to many. They have all loved it.

    four hearts up! :]

Out of all of Rachel Hawthrone's books, this would have to be my favorite. You have three novels, three situations, three hot guys, three countries...well you get what I am saying? TOTAL AWESOME-NESS. I love how the plot takes place in Europe where every girl for herself in each country. I would so recommend this for any girl readers who are just wanting something out there and the hopes of traveling and finding a hot boyfriend...especially in Europe!

    Good quick read

I have every book Rachel Hawthorne has pu out currently, and I have to say, that they keep getting shorter and shorter, even though she has put three books of hers together, they are only a couple hundred pages. My favorite one is Dana and Alex (They are in the middle of the book, and the location is Paris), out of all of them, even though the whole book is predictable, it is a good quick read and for rereading when you're bored. I mean, I quess this is semi real (going to europe in an exchange student program), but it was just too predictable.

For the recommendations: Alot of vampire series, the early books of rachel hawethorne (Caribbean cruising, Love On the Lifts, and Thrill Ride), really most teen friendship-romance fiction

    AWFULLY AWFUL

I read the description of this book and decided to read it. I thought it would be a good read, especially considering I want to travel to Europe. Well, I was dead wrong. It was so bad, that I could only make it through the first `novel¿. Here¿s why it is so bad.
    -predictable writing.
It is also a weird style of writing, switching back and forth between Robin and Kit¿s view. It¿s kind of hard to relate to
    -awful characters.
Example: Robin, the main character, is incredibly annoying. The author mustn¿t know this: even people from farms in Texas know that the British call their yards gardens. Well, Robin doesn¿t. Oh, and who in the world doesn¿t know what that the CHIPS in FISH AND CHIPS and FRENCHFRIES and not POTATO CHIPS!!! Guess.
Another example: While Kit does sound incredibly hot, he is so prim and proper (to an annoying extent) and therefore totally unrealistic. While manners are associated with England, teenage boys are NOT like that anywhere.
    -unrealistic
Example: Kit¿s girlfriend Brooke is extremely mean to Robin, causing Kit to break up with her. So, once Kit breaks up with Brooke and starts dating Robin, Robin and Brooke become friends. What world is this author from? That doesn¿t happen anywhere in the universe.
DO NOT READ>WASTE OF MONEY AND HOURS OF YOUR LIFE.

    avid reader, especially anything romance

I have loved reading this book! The stories are so cute in each novel. I really liked how Rachel Hawthorne has points of view for both the girls and the guys. It added something to the story that most books don't have. I definitely recommend this for a good, cute, teen romance novel!

    Eh....It was ok

This book was good if you've just broken up with your boyfriend or if you had a bad day...but it's not much good for anything else. The stories were romantic, but EXTREMELY cheesy and very easily predicted. You could read one chapter of each story and figure out who would end up with whom automatically

    So romantic, so GOOD!!

I could NOT put this book down! I loved every part of every story. There was something different and spectacular happening in each one. And the plots were so cute and, of course, sweetly romantic. It's one of those few books that I can read over and over and OVER again. If you're down on love, these anecdotes just might change your mind!

Rachel Hawthorn has written another winner! It was so great to have all the different girls and different guys! But they were all best friends so the stories ended up connecting. Each story was different and amazing! It is just too good for words. But trust me you will definantly not be dissapointed!
