Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Jean Boreen
This book is part of the "Super Bowl Superstars" series focused primarily on Super Bowl quarterbacks and their championship-winning teams. In this case, the focus is on Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers, and their victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers during Super Bowl XLV. Nine chapters focus, alternately, on Rodgers as quarterback, the challenge of taking over the Pack after their years with Brett Favre, and the actual game itself and the plays and players who helped the Packers win. Text boxes throughout the book highlight additional information about other Super Bowls or about Rodgers and the Packers. Photographs of Rodgers in action by himself or in various games from his high school, college, and professional career add a great deal to the text and will certainly invite less-motivated readers into the book. As with all solid series, this book and its counterparts have a well-developed glossary, bibliography, and "Read More" section. Also included is access to a website about Super Bowls and those who play in them. This text, and the series in general, provides football fans with a quick and interesting look at one of their favorite players playing one of their favorite sports in a book that they should be able to easily read and understand. Reviewer: Jean Boreen, Ph.D.

    A must for Packer fans!

This book has concise information accompanied by lots of pictures. I was impressed with the lessons he learned from set backs and how these events helped shape his character. This book has not stayed on the shelf since I bought it for our school library! Definitely recommended for children.
