Grace Girdwain was born on the north side of Chicago and has lived in Burbank, Illinois, with her husband and four children for the past 35 years. She was educated at the American and Chicago Conservatory of Music, the Cartoonists Exchange in Ohio, DePaul University in Chicago, the American Institute for Paralegal Studies in Illinois, and the International Grapho Analysis Society in Chicago.
Ms. Girdwain is a lifetime member of the Humanitarian Society in Quakertown Pennsylvania, and has also been a member of the American Natural Hygiene Society in Chicago. She is listed with the National Vaccine Information Center (DPT) in Virginia and the A.I.M. in New Jersey. She is also a human rights consultant, offering assistance or key contacts to resolve problems that surface on certain issues for compliance.
Ms. Girdwain also holds a U.S. patent with S.A.I. in Akron, Ohio, for an apparatus for motor vehicles that helps in emergency situations with handicapped people in inclement weather.
She has published two other books with Dorrance Publishing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Your Personal Guide to Immunization Exemptions and With These Hands for All the Children around the World on All the Wonderful Things That “Hands” Can Do. She is also a member of the Nature Conservancy, the National Parks Conservation, the Humane Society, the Wildlife Land Trust, the National Wildlife Federation, the Defenders of Wildlife, and the Ocean Conservancy.
