Overview

Abby is an eleven year-old Hopplescotch, the twin to the gate of the gateway
that leads to Hopplescotch Realm. Muriel, a Hopplescotch witcherene, is the keeper of the gate and one of the most powerful witches in this world and the seven realms.
Abby has been sent to Muriel as a decoy. The peace and quiet of Beechhorn cove is about to be shattered by the re-emergence of Agnes Fairwether, another Hopplescotch witcherene who had tried to overthrow this world ten years before.
It appears a switchelstick may have been used on Muriel and Agnes in their last battle.
Who is who? Is the gateway safe?
Abby and her new friends seek to unravel the mystery.
They are plunged into adventures with many odd characters from the realms, while trying to save the realms from the evil Agnes.

Meet the Author

Julie was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, where she is now residing again after living on the rugged West Coast of the South Island for nine years. She has worked and served overseas with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including a three- year posting to Bangkok, Thailand. After completing a diploma for Professional Writer of Children’s Stories, she wrote her popular first fantasy novel for children, Abby and the Hopplescotch Realm. This was written as the first in her series of stories about the adventures of a group of children and other characters in different realms. Julie's series has grown to 4 books in total now with the 5th being penned, it is extremely popular, read her reviews on her website and enjoy her books.
Julie lives with her two daughters and her cat, Moochie and her dog, Bailey. Julie is Chairperson of the New Zealand Society of Authors for Canterbury.

Contracts have expired with my publisher so I am releasing books digitally and left over printed stocks are available through my website or online shops till stocks expire for my first and second editions. Late 2011, I released print on demand paperback copies on Amazon with new covers, along with the long awaited for 4th book. What have they been up to this time?

The series is all written in past tense, Abby was 5th on our best seller list when it was first published in 2003.
I found a version of Abby in my computer that was typed in present tense before the publisher wanted it changed into past tense for publication, I hope you enjoy it! It's not as long or as detailed as the final one but still a rollicky read.

If you liked reading Harry Potter you will love this series and now with the help of digital publishing it is easy to bring the series to a world wide audience.
Most adults love my books too, Magical can even teach some adults how to keep a step ahead of teenagers and stop them playing the 'game'.

I would love you to leave me a review, either here or on Amazon and hit the like button if you want to. My books were written for kids and it is about getting them to them to read.

Books are back on smashwords!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!

This was very cute and entertaining. As an adult, I noticed some inconsistencies and maybe a few loose ends. For a younger reader; however, this likely would not be noticed. (And if it is...what good lesson!).
