    Great Book!!

I'm a student at WV State University in Professor Samples English 324. (Professor Samples is a wonderful educator.) This book is wonderfully illustrated with diverse individuals. This is a great tool to teach children about diversity.

Colorful & Vibrant Illustrations showing diversity

As a mother of 2 children, and a registered nurse, I found this book wonderfully diverse. The illustrations are colorful and vibrant with playful animation. Yes, this book talks about 'two moms' and 'two dads', but it also illustrates a physically 'handi-capable' woman in a wheel chair as well as the varing 'colors' of families. This is a great book in which to springboard dialouge with children about the diversity of families and individuals or for just reading the alphabet. My daughter, age 2, especially loves the boy on the 'Q' page because he has 'spikey hair'. Happy reading.

    Beautiful Book

Although this does not depict my current lifestyle, it is a beautiful book that any child with gay parents could surely relate to! All children regardless of their type of family deserve to feel accepted by society!! I would even get this book for my own children who do have a Mom and a Dad.
