Spanish philosopher and novelist Miguel de Unamuno writes a history of Cain and Abel from the point of view of Cain in this tale of life-long friends Joaquin Montenegro and Abel Sanchez. Unamuno writes with some sympathy for the plight of Joaquin who must battle through life while friend Abel walks through his days trouble-free.
