I bought this book having read the author's other book Her Husband's Harlot, which I loved. This book is just as wonderful, though different. The setting is a gothic estate in Victorian England, and the heroine Abigail is a maid who has mysterious supernatural visions. She is both drawn to and afraid of her employer Earl Huxton, who has plenty of secrets of his own. I LOVE tortured, sexy heroes, and Hux is up there with my favorites. All I will say is that the sexual tension and passion between the two is INTENSE, and I felt completely connected to both characters and rooted for their HEA. The blend of hot historical and gothic/paranormal really worked for me -- this book goes right onto my keeper shelf.

"Abigail Jones" (Chronicles of Abigail Jones #1), a thrilling second book by Grace Callaway immediately immerses the reader in Victorian England where the story of Abigail unfolds before our very eyes. Her relationship with Hux is intense and passionate, connecting them to a mysterious past which has a large impact on the outcome of their lives. It's a richly woven story sizzling with steamy romance, suspense, and supernatural forces which arouses the reader's interest and curiosity to read more and more. I most enthusiastically recommend the book "Abigail Jones" to anyone interested in high level romance, intrigue, and mystery. What a great book!

I had read her first two books and really enjiyed them. This was almost as good. Not as much heat and a paranormal element added. I still couldn't wait to finish and loved getting to know Hux and Abigail. I will definitely buy the sequel when it is published.
