Abigail’s Triumph is book #6 in The Amish Girls Series. This was a very heartwarming story about an Amish community that comes together to help the children of a family that have been victims of abuse. The story covers acceptance, releasing anger and hate, and forgiveness. One of my favorite quotes in the book is spoken by a father who has taken one of the girls into his home. “‘You know, our earthly fathers are supposed to be a picture of the Heavenly Father and I’m afraid even the best daed falls short of that responsibility. I’m sorry to say that your father was a very poor example to you and your brothers and sisters. Even so, it is not our place to pass judgment and we must offer forgiveness. ‘“ What a lovely display of words for our next generation.
You will find this entire series to be a shining example of Christianity to our young girls and teens. I love the use of scripture throughout the books and the way the dialogue often shows how even our young people can be used of God through their words, actions, and example.

Abuse of wives and children is never pretty and it is a tragic event in the Amish community as Abigail and her siblings fight to survive. I love how the Amish community rallies together to support the family and provide for their needs. Abigail truly does triumph over great adversity in this book. I believe this one was my favorite of the six books in the series to this point. 5 *****
I received a free pdf version of this book in exchange for my honest review.
