About the Author

Isador Henry Coriat (1875–1943), was an American psychiatrist and neurologist. One of the first Freudian psychoanalysts and a member of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society, Coriat worked with the Reverend Elwood Worcester, serving as the medical expert for the Emmanuel Movement. His books include Repressed Emotions, What is Psychoanalysis?, Religion and Medicine, and The Moral Control of Nervous Disorders.
