Bernard Nathason, best known for his vituperative antiabortion work, was originally instrumental in bringing legalized abortion to America. Nathanson brings us inside C*R*A*S*H, the world's largest freestanding abortion clinic. He introduces us to the unstoppable Harvey Karman, who killed a woman in a motel-room abortion but went on to be celebrated and embraced by the prochoice movement. Most importantly, he takes us behind the scenes at the founding of the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (then the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws) and shows the infighting, politicing, and deception that foisted off abortion on demand in the United States.
