An old line I learned around 23 years ago from my mom. She used it a lot referring to me and my brother when people asked her why she listened to kids our age - we hear the truth from them. Though this short story was indeed short, the message was so very clear. Falling in love is amazing, when it's over it's devestating, but the wounds will heal and the scars are proof of survival. This was short, simple, and sweet. The message was clear.

Awwhh! That truly was sweet.. getting advice from a little girl.. I wonder if this really happened to the author...? Well, it was a GOOD book, read it!! I warn you it's very short, 9 pages, and it willl melt your heart.(:

As adults we somehow manage to complicate everything. Even things as simple as love. If you ever need perspective, ask a child. The world is amazingly simple, we just lost our innocence along the way. Who says children don't understand the meaning of life?

Cute...good only as an intro to authors skills

The four-year-old's observations are exactly what the broken heart needed. Could have been more fleshed out and better written.

The little girl was cute but the ending just put a downer on the story. It was almost pointless. No shocker or cliff hanger. No wonder why it was free.

The author could have been more specific. It had a good plot but i wished for more no wonder its freee

This was a cute, quick read. Very enjoyable.

Didnt realize flash fiction meant only 7 pages. Either way the metaphor was great and the little four year old sure knew how to teach us about falling in love.

This short story has so much emotion and depth hidden in eight short pages. The way the little girl describes love is perfect and easy to understand. Simply amazing.

Good thing this was free. It took me a whole 9 seconds to read, but it was pretty cute anyway.

The story was much too short. I understd that it is a "flash fiction" story, but it could have been a bit longer. The actual story was not very interesting, it was quite boring, but was a good idea. I think the story deserves way more elaboration on feelings and contex. I wasn't completely sure on who exactly the narrator was speaking to at first, which should hae been clarified early on. I think the whole point of this story was pretty good, but used in a boring way.

I like most of Y.G's short stories, but I hated this one. It wasn't interesting. You didn't know who "she" was or if the main character was a boy/girl. I also didn't get the 4 year old kid pat. I was just was lost the whole time. :(
