"Very well written story and good to the very end. A surprise ending and a happy ending. Will be reading the next book in this series." –Review by “MG”

"Ambitious mystery author L.A. Noble's first "Max and Michelle Mystery Novel" comes alive in it's setting--a fictionalized Central Illinois that sets the stage for a small-town mystery with some interesting ideas. The author's light touch with dialogue helped keep her characters from getting caught up in some of the book's occasionally muddy POV. ...this is a good start to what may well be a series that will get better and better as it goes along, and the author finds her craft." -Judge, Writer’s Digest 21st Annual Self-Published Book Awards

    About Time Already

In her novel, 'About Time Already,' L.A. Noble tells a mystery and suspense story about a young woman by the name of Jenny Masters who returns to her hometown after nine years to find herself confronting her painful past. As Jenny faces her traumatic childhood memories, she unwittingly becomes entangled in a web of lies, murder, and blackmail, which results in a dangerous journey to uncover an explosive secret. 'About Time Already,' takes place during the summer of 2010. Jenny Masters left New Attica, Illinois after graduating from high school in order to escape a traumatic childhood. As a child, Jenny had been sexually abused by local doctor Dr. Samuel Roberts. She was not the only young girl to be preyed upon by the depraved doctor. In 2001, he killed a young girl he got pregnant. Dr. Samuel and his mother Sarah Roberts buried her body in the shed of the family home. From an early age, Jenny's life had been entangled with the affluent Roberts family. Not only was she sexually abused by Dr. Samuel, but she also had become pregnant by Steve Roberts, Dr. Samuel's half brother. Cold and calculating Sarah Roberts, the matriarch of the Roberts family, claimed to have had the baby adopted but then the baby died. After nine years living in Blessington, Illinois, Jenny returns to New Attica when she learns that her mother is in a serious car accident. The events that unfold involve murder, kidnappings, blackmail, uncovering dark secrets, and Jenny confronting her painful childhood and those who caused her such emotional harm. 'About Time Already' contains a diverse range of unique and colorful characters. Ashley and Heather are the town gossips who constantly watch and gossip about the activities of the other characters. Jenny's friends, Michelle and Max, have a knack for solving murders and assist Jenny in her efforts to uncover the mystery while trying to make sense of their own relationship. Brothers Michael and Steve Roberts struggle with their own past with Jenny. Depraved Doctor Samuel and his mother Sarah are both scheming characters who will do anything, no matter how wicked, to protect the family name. 'About Time Already' is a literary mystery filled with many surprising twists and turns that will keep readers guessing the identity of the murderer right to the end of the story. Through a well-written and well-plotted narrative, readers will find themselves cheering for Jenny as she faces great danger and threats to her life. 'About Time Already' is highly recommended to readers who enjoy an entertaining page-turning mystery that keeps them engaged from start to end. Tracy Roberts, Write Field Services

A must read for mystery lovers!

The Roberts, a prominent, small town family, has been harboring a deep secret and enabling a sick family member for too many years.  Evil like this cannot stay silenced, especially with the ramped gossip among New Attica's intimacy-starved housewives and nosy neighbors.  When Jenny Masters returns to her hometown 10 years after being abused and exiled by the Roberts, she has not forgiven, nor forgotten the long-term emotional suffering inflicted on her by Dr. Samuel's pedophilic ways and the family's "blood is thicker than water" mind-set.  The Roberts' housekeeper sets the tone of the novel when she exclaims, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.  And I do believe that the Roberts family scorned that girl."

As Jenny faces her tortured past, she yearns to avenge the family who robbed her of her adolescent innocence.  With talk of a missing New Attica girl rumored to have relocated and not having kept in touch with her family, the ENTIRE mystery of the Roberts begins to unravel, and we realize that Jenny is not the only skeleton in the Roberts' basement.  Jenny will need help if she is to expose this powerful and dangerous dynasty.  Author L.A. Noble introduces myriad characters and personalities to help rid New Attica of the festering disease of "secrecy" planted and nurtured by the family of doctors.

Is Jenny in over her head?  Or will her allies, like the "crime fighting" duo Max, a computer analyst, and Michelle, a garden shop owner, aid her revenge?  Don't worry, Noble has cleverly anointed Max and Michelle with plenty of pestering problems of their own, least of all their obvious desire to have each other.

Classified family secrets, sex addiction, murder, forbidden relations, ex-wives and the broke doctors who can't support them.and that's not all!  Noble packs a full house in this mystery with character quality and appealing content.  Join Miss Noble's growing fan base of witted readers and discover why it is About Time Already.

What I loved most about this story is, as soon as the story started important tings started happening The adoption, the abuse is all so relatable to many readers, making it all so real. The small town syndrome will never change but for jenny it was a bit different. This story flowed perfectly and was quite easy to read. A must read for anyone looking for a good story.

ONE STAR: I HAD TO FORCE MYSELF TO FINISH THIS BOOK

Seriously someone had a good idea with this plot but was totally unable to write it. This must be a new author or one that was having big time writers block, cause this book was all over the place.
