She received her Bachelor's Degree in English from Connecticut College and obtained a Master's Degree in Journalism from Temple University. She currently lives in Scarsdale, New York with her three children and their dog, Maggie. The author lives in Scarsdale, New York.

ABRAHAM LINCOLN by Caroline Crosson Gilpin is an interesting children's book/ages 5 and up/grade level K and up. A wonderful informative and educational look at our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln with wonderful and colorful illustrations. The life and times of Old Abe,as our fearless leader of the Civil war and as our 16th President. An excellent tool for young readers to learn more on our country and one of our famous presidents.
