The album has something for many tastes (this isn't an exhaustive list): "Only Happy When It Rains" and "Stupid Girl" are dripping with withering venom; "When I Grow Up" has the catchy quality of a pop song; "Vow" is an open declaration of imminent vengeance; Both "Milk" and "#1 Crush" are love songs, with the former being subdued in tone while the latter has an intensity belied by its title. The songs in the album show how Garbage has evolved over its first twelve years (1995-2007). I cannot wait to see how the band evolves in the future. Was this review helpful?
