Andrew Murray was a South African writer, teacher, and Christian pastor. Murray considered missions to be “the chief end of the church.”

Over the years he has influenced many, including Jessie Penn-Lewis, a key figure in the 1904-1905 Welsh Revival. His writings have greatly influenced the writings of both Watchman Nee and Witness Lee.

Old time advice still good today

Sometimes our ancestors saw clearer than we do.

I wish I would have read this ten years ago!

This is the very first Andrew Murray book I ever read. Since then, I've devoured about a dozen more of his titles. Absolute Surrender teaches on Romans 7-8 where we see the battle to control the carnal nature and the victory that only God can give.
