This is "volume 1" of a 4-part volume for SERIOUS Sudoku puzzle advocates.
Don't confuse the brain teasers in this book with "everyday" (e.g., newspaper-level) Sudoku puzzles! The 4-part series will, given time and dedication on your part (and lots of practice!) bring you to a "master level" of Sudoku problem solving.
Before you dig into this book (or the other 3 successively harder books of this series), do yourself a BIG FAVOR: get the book: "MENSA Guide to Solving Sudoku", by Peter Gordon. Gordon's book is a guide to the techniques you will need to attack successfully the puzzles in the "Absolutely Nasty Sudoku" series.
The puzzle books themselves will give you many hours of satisfying puzzle-solving, which in turn will help keep a lifelong mental agility. So, GO AHEAD and BUY THE SERIES!!

The title actually fits this book! I am an avid Sudoku fan and this one and the whole series makes me squirm and even use an additional sheet of paper to solve these. Truly Mensa level. Not a morning or night puzzle, this takes much more time! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This is the second book in the series that I have owned. The puzzles start out at difficult and stay there. It's the only collection of sudoku in which I have to mark in my options to solve each puzzle. Yet, each puzzle can be solve using applications of logic if you look hard enough. After these, I find the puzzles in the newspaper to be too easy; even at 5 stars. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
