Editorial Reviews

Booknews
Blumenfeld shares the expertise he has acquired over two decades of working as an actor and dialect coach. He begins by explaining the physiological awareness necessary when learning accents, then focuses on accents of people who speak over 80 native languages, noting variations within each and particular features to pay attention to, and providing practice exercises. The CD-ROM contains Blumenfeld's own vocalizing of most of the exercises. No index. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.

This book is good, but I believe that the best way to learn accents is by a real person, but for being a book, this is an excelent resource.
