Overview

In nine months of pregnancy, three percent of fetuses will be miscarried each year. In nineteen years of life, six percent of children will die. Though the numbers are smaller and the loss not as visible, the emotional impact of mothers who miscarry is just as great as the impact of mothers whose children have been killed. Though these mothers didn't get to hold their babies in their arms, these children live on in their hearts forever.

Kristi Larrabee and her husband, Jason, suffered six miscarriages. Each failed pregnancy brought a new sense of loss, from denial, to anger to depression, until finally they decided not to try again. They would find alternative methods of becoming parents and therein find peace.

And then Kristi was surprised to discover that she was pregnant again. She was determined not to get her hopes up. Months went by and complications ensued, but finally she was able to get through her pregnancy successfully. After eight years of trying, their son Caden was born.

Kristi and Jason were able to have their happy ending, but many couples are not. Acceptance is Kristi's honest, raw emotions throughout her miscarriages as well as her encouragment to overcome these trying times. Most of all, it reminds all couples that they are not alone. No matter what stage of parenthood you are in, there is someone there to help. Someone who knows exactly how you feel. Laugh and cry with Kristi Larrabee as you learn to find Acceptance in your own life.
