An Accidentally Yours Novella

The God of Male Virility Has Never Had a Date . . . Until Now

"Make no mistake, I am not the sort of god who enjoys playing games. When I return, you will tell me everything-who and what you are-then we shall spend the evening making love."

When Maggie O'Hare hears those words she thinks she's lost her mind. One minute she was traipsing around the Mayan jungle looking for her father's excavation site; the next she's accused of being immortal by a guy who swears he's a god. And as for the making love part . . . well, the fact that it sounds like a very good idea is a sure sign she's gone mad. But this guy who calls himself the God of Virility-he's superhot. And every time he touches her, something crazy happens.

Backlum Chaam has waited seventy thousand years to meet the woman Fate has chosen for him, and now that she's here, he can't believe his luck. Maggie is brilliant and gorgeous and everything he could have dreamed of . . . except that she insists she's human. But Chaam knows that's impossible-a god could never love a human. And if he seduces one, their passion could have the power to destroy mankind . . .

Meet the Author

Before taking up a permanent residence in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mimi spent time living near NYC (became a shopaholic), in Mexico City (developed a taste for very spicy food), and Arizona (now hates jumping chollas, but pines for sherbet sunsets). Her love of pre-Hispanic culture, big cities, and romance inspires her to write when she's not busy with kids, hubby, work, and life...or getting sucked into a juicy novel.

She hopes that someday leather pants for men will make a big comeback and that her writing might make you laugh when you need it most.

Good story, but not worth paying for it. It's about 100 pages and the rest of the are prologues. The entire thing is about 174 pages total with a bad ending.

I have read all of Mimi Jean Pamfiloff books and this was the least interesting that I have read. First it was long enough and I was sure if it wasn't just a mixture of the other ones. I would like to know what the ending are on all of the previous books. I will still buy of of her books because I know that after I read the first book that she can product some good books to read.

Once again, I was so entertained with Mimi's style and her sense

Once again, I was so entertained with Mimi's style and her sense of humor. As another reviewer mentioned, this story gave me a whole new perspective on Chaam. I found Mim's books while searching here on B&N and was impressed with the positive reviews and decided to give them a chance and I am SO happy I did. She has great characters, great stories and exceptional humor. I laughed all the way through the first book I read. My husband was so curious that he even read her first book and was hooked and has since read all the others, and he is generally a non-fiction type of guy! I can't wait for the next novel in September!

I really love the Accidentally Yours series. I just never know what will happen next.

When I read the other books Chaam was always the bad God. I was happy when I found out that the author was going to share a little about why he is the way he is. So you understand that he is doing the things he does for a reason and it’s not just because he is a big headed God and wants to rule the world.

Maggie is a pretty down to earth woman. Just your everyday person. I would be wondering why a guy that claims he is a guy would want something to do with me. I would say he only wants me for one thing and he will leave and I’ll never see him again.

I just want to say that I never knew what Chaam had went through. I just thought he was the ego maniac god that got involved with the bad side. Glad to see I was wrong, so I like him just a little bit more than I did. I loved how the author gave us the first chapter of the next book and a follow up of the last one.

If you want to know what happens you need to get the book and see. I’m not giving any details away.

    really!!!

this book started out a little confusing, but it got better and had some funny parts in it. what really got me steaming MAD was that as i was really getting in it STOP! the book has 100-some pages and only 69 was the story!! it didnt even finish it had a TO BE CONTINUE. it just really ticked me off, other then the lack of an ending and it being soooooo short it wasnt bad i even like the story line. Don't recommend

Sounded interesting in the description but not much of a story development. Not sure I want to invest in the sequal.

I am a fan of the Mimi Jean Pamfiloff and her Accidentally serie

I am a fan of the Mimi Jean Pamfiloff and her Accidentally series. I have really enjoyed each one and how she has envisioned the gods. For me this novella was a look warm  offering.  I think novellas that are part of a series are hard to carry off.  The author is trying to pack in everything that they bring to the fuller volumes in a much shorter story and that is hard to do.  How are you going to pull off a couple meeting and falling in love and wrapping it all up in a neat ending in 100 pages or less and make it believable?  That is where I think this book suffered...

First of all, the time frame of the book is in less than a 24 hour period.  I just could not buy into their romance so quickly. Their conversations were shallow so I did not feel there was true connection between them. There was the plot device of Chaam being able to share visions of his life experiences with Maggie, but even with that I still felt their connection was shallow.  It is not as though Maggie could do the same.

The dialogue to zany a bit too far, it almost felt forced and at times inappropriate given the situation. I usually love the zany dialogue of Ms. Pamfiloff's characters.  Maybe I'm not in the mood for zany, but in this book it did not help to make Maggie a three dimensional character, for me it just made her a bit annoying.

I did enjoy the look back on Chaam's story.  As a follower of the series I've wondered what happened to make him decide to join the dark side. It nice to know that there is hope for him.  The reveal of Cimil's role in this turn of events was very interesting.  Clearly this is setting up to a happy ending turn out for all involved.  The cliff hanger was expected as all the stories in the series are merely pieces of the over arching plot line.

If you're a fan of the series I would definitely recommend this book.

    Such a tease!

If I hadn't read the rest of the series first, I would be negative about this little teaser. I am a huge fan of Mimi's writing style! I'm slowly making my way through the series as I devour each new book as soon as it comes out. I will definitely go back and reread all of them after the final installment so I can savor and enjoy them as a whole. I'm looking forward to September in anticipation for the next piece of the puzzle! -JR
