    Good, but not for me...

The teaching style in this book is at first very helpful and explains game types and basic methods in a method both easy to understand and put into use... however as the book carries on into the more complex game types and the necessary logical techniques needed to work through them, it requires quite a bit of inferrence on the part of the user. For some this will be extremely useful, allowing for every technique to come from your own methods as you independently make the necessary logical conclusions when they throw you curveball after curveball. For me, however, I prefer to have the necessary techniques taught to me first, not offered as explanations after I totally bomb a practice test. If you want to be taught first, then tested... this one is good for the basics. If you prefer to go it alone and learn from your mistakes, this book is probably perfect for you.
