Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"There is no better review than this one for preparing for ACSM's certification exams. It is authored by the same experts who create the examinations. It is comprehensive, yet specific to each exam. I would recommend this review both for those taking the exam for the first time and for those taking it to renew certification."

Doody's Review Service
Reviewer: Erik H VanIterson, M.S., M.Bio(University of Minnesota School of Kinesiology)
Description: This comprehensive review for ACSM's professional certification tests covers key points of each of the three certification tests. Included in each section are sample questions similar to ones found on the actual exams.
Purpose: It is designed to prepare health and fitness professionals for any one of ACSM's certification examinations.
Audience: This review is appropriate for anyone intending to take the tests and who already has a firm knowledge base in the exercise sciences. It is not intended as a comprehensive textbook that introduces and explains topics in detail; rather it is a guide to taking the tests.
Features: The book is well organized into sections that address each of ACSM's certification exams. Subsections in each address key knowledge and skill points with which readers must be familiar. Also included in each section are sample case studies and exam questions that address the important points highlighted in earlier subsections. Plenty of tables appear throughout the book to clarify key concepts.
Assessment: There is no better review than this one for preparing for ACSM's certification exams. It is authored by the same experts who create the examinations. It is comprehensive, yet specific to each exam. I would recommend this review both for those taking the exam for the first time and for those taking it to renew certification.
