This is an awesome beginning for a great series! The blurb alone made me curious. The cover art also piqued my curiosity. After reading Kendall McKenna's books on gay werewolf military romance, I found myself wanting to find other good reads that also featured gay werewolf action stuff. This book fit the bill! Stanley's descriptive details immerse me into the world of the hybrids, who are half animal and half human as a result of scientific research. This sci fi/paranormal read features Adam, an experimental byproduct of DNA splicing between animal and human. Imprisoned in a top secret facility manned by abusive guards who see Adam and his fellow "experiments" as less than human, Adam seeks escape and yearns for freedom. An opportunity arises and he not only escapes, he also grabs ahold of incriminating evidence that lands him in a most wanted list -- just as he meets journalist Chance. From the first chapter, Adam won me over. I wanted him to be free and have his chance with Chance. :-) Characters were well-developed, plot was riveting--I couldn't put this book down! Definitely highly recommended!!
