From Barnes & Noble

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is not yet twenty-five, but now indelibly known as Adele, she had made music history. At the 2012 Grammys alone, she won a record-tying six awards, including the Album of the Year. This Sterling Publishing pictorial plus takes you into the experiences of a young woman who began her life as the daughter of a single teenage mother; started her successful career through a three-song Myspace demo and then, within a few short years, became the bestselling singer on both sides of the Atlantic. The book's memorable text is supplemented by more than 125 photographs, many of them seldom-seen.

Adele is perfection. She is recognized internationally as a musical icon whose soulful voice is matched only by her exuberant personality. Her story is one of raw talent lifted from humble beginnings to global mega-stardom.
In addition to winning more than 50 international music industry awards, she has broken record after record: first artist to sell more than three million- let’s take that in- MORE THAN THREE MILLION UK albums in a year. A YEAR, first living artist since the Beatles to have two top five hits simultaneously in both the UK singles and album charts, and the first artist in history to lead the Billboard chart concurrently with three number ones. 21 (Adele’s album) is the longest running number-one album by a female solo artist on the UK chart and in the US it held the top position for longer than any other album since Prince’s Purple Rain in 1984.
This book celebrates Adele’s career so far, exploring her childhood passion for music and the experiences and emotions that underpin her songs. Take a journey with Adele through her heartbreak, glory, dog days, and more in this enticing book. I recommend this book to anyone who loves, even just knows about, Adele. I give this book definitely 5 stars, I read it in about 2 days, and I was pretty down when it ended. I gave this book to my mother and Grandma, and they both loved it.
