The result is this vivid and definitive biography, fully illustrated ...

    Good Read

I found this book extremely insightful. It was written in a flowing narrative, unlike some biographies, but still provided a complete synopsis of the life of Columbus. Morison is a bit biased when it comes to controversial issues regarding unanswered questions, but that is to be expected from someone writing a biography on a personal icon. I will say in his defense that when these biases do appear, he is sure to let the reader know, and even provides opposing views as to let the reader decide for himself/herself.
All in all, a good read, and worth your while if you're interested in early American explorers!
