I used this book to prep for the HESI test for the LVN to RN transition program. It helped me to brush up on my math skills and was great as an aid to review general subjects that we take for granted. I passed all components of the test with scores no lower than an 85%.

This book was a perfect study aid for me. It includes everything I needed for review for the HESI exam. The basic math, english, and science practise tests certainly helped strengthen my skills and my confidence. The step by step explanations and hints on what to expect for the big scary test put a smile on my face, and I hope it does the same for you.

I studied this book cover to cover, completed all the sample problems and tests as well as read and re-read the chapters for about 2 weeks. I took the HESI a2 last week and passed with a high B average! Pay extra attention to the MATH section, especially the fractions! Also the A&P and Bio. The version of the test I took had no Physics or Chemistry section but your test might be different. Get this book, apply yourself and you'll do great!

the book is not helpful when it comes to sciences. the science section is a complete waste of time. it spends more time explaining the math and English section but spends way less time explaining the science section and has a little practice question for the science with obviously carries more point. the book has no section on critical thinking and you are expected to do it - can you imagine that. you dont even have a clue of what to expect. this book was recommended by a proffessor but wont recommend it to anyone. if you gonna buy a book, buy a book that has all the sections including critical thinking

I bought this book to help review for the AA2 exam. I was hoping that it would give some insight into the test format, and provide some good study direction. What a waste of time and money! The text has huge sections devoted to the math and grammar sections - and they are the easiest parts of the test! If you can deal with 8th grade math and reading, you will score in the 90th percentile. The most difficult segments, A&P and Biology, are glossed over, with about 9 pages of information each, whereas the math and grammar have around 50 pages. Pretty pointless, since the easy pasts of the test are over 50 questions, and the hardest parts that the "guide" glosses over are around 30, and weighted more. The book did not offer up one useful bit of knowledge for Biology or A&P.<BR/><BR/>Do yourself a favor, see if your school offers a quick physiology refresher and take that. You will be better served. The book even states that you should study all kinds of different systems! Well golly gee, I just paid 30 bucks to have someone tell me to go review all my A&P lectures! How helpful!<BR/><BR/>This book will not help you, as it claims, "Ace your admissions assessment." It exists solely to take money from your pocket.<BR/><BR/>The information is scattered and unhelpful, there are plenty of free websites you can find that will give you a better review for the test than this book every could.

Leaps obto goldenstar. It leaves some pretty good bites and scratches on the leader amd then makes and extremly deep cut in her throat, bleeding heavily.

I've only gotten through the math portion and taken the pre-test but I didn't even have all of the information to answer the questions that asked in the back of the book. They give you no formulas for converting temperatures, lengths, mass or volume yet there were questions about that. There was nothing about the Roman Numeral system or Metric system yet a few questions asked about the history of those systems. Most frustrating thing was the last question. "What number in Arabic numerals is Roman numeral MCMXLIV?" (Page 124, question 40) If you were to solve the question using the chart printed in the math section on page 38 you would have gotten an answer of 2,144. Which is wrong. Why? Because they have left out the grouping of CM which is equal to 900. The correct answer is 1,944. It was good for brushing up on things long since forgotten but should be used in conjuction with a more thorough study guide, if at all.
