Meet the Author

Steve Johnson has written more than 45 books on a variety of computer software, including Adobe Photoshop CS3 and CS2, Adobe Flash CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, Microsoft Office 2007 and 2003, Microsoft Windows Vista and XP, Microsoft Office 2008 for the Macintosh, and Apple Mac OS X Leopard. In 1991, after working for Apple Computer and Microsoft, Steve founded Perspection, Inc., which writes and produces software training. When he is not staying up late writing, he enjoys playing golf, gardening, and spending time with his wife, Holly, and three children, JP, Brett, and Hannah. Steve and his family live in Pleasanton, California, but can also be found visiting family all over the western United States.

    For beginners to the most advanced Photoshop users

    A complete guide to a most complex program - step by step instructions for the tools and methods of Photoshop. All are clearly and simply explained with understandable words and illustrations. Example start and finish files are available at indicated website.
    As well as definitions and instructions of the tools and methods of use, it covers installation of the program, setting the preferences and options - color management issues such as calibrating monitor, printer - profiles -available software programs and devices - features of the Extended version ( if you have this) - workshops, a list of new features in CS4 - just about everything concerning CS4 This book is one of the best references available. A worthwhile buy.
