I was required to buy this book for a photoshop class for photography. The book has a lot of information that is probably more helpful down the road. I noticed that it lacked a lot of info that would be helpful for the beginner. There was nothing in the book regarding adding texts and adding pictures with texts on a layer of color. For example if you were making invitations or whatever, which i thought would be a pretty big part of photoshop. Also, i felt that it was a little advanced for the first year photography student. There were some good tips however on re-touching and other editing that will be helpful down the road, but like i said it really wasn't for the beginner as it didn't go over a lot of things. The book seemed like it assumed we already knew a lot of things about the photoshop program. It is put together very well with great pictures and explanations of how to do the editing in the book. There a lot of interesting professional tips in the book also.
