I am currently working on my master's degree in Family Life Education. In addition, I am raising my 15-year-old niece. This book really helped bridge the gap between my world and her's. I now have a clearer understanding on why we both react a certain way to specific situations (such as curfew and dating).
I strongly encourage any parent who is struggling to find that "common ground" with their teenager to read this book!!! You do not have to read ALL the chapters like I did. However if your teenager is anything like mine, you will read ALL of the chapters; some of them twice.
Furthermore, this book is great for any student who desires to work with teenagers in any setting. I can't speak highly enough about this book.
