This board book with mirrors helps you see yourself in the ones you love.

My little loveable lion cub, won't you roar for me.

My beautiful, bashful birdies-let me hear you sing.

With a mirror on each spread, ADORABLE YOU! highlights different animal families throughout, allowing young readers to playfully become each young animal through the embedded mirror.

Illustrated by Randy Cecil, ADORABLE YOU! is filled with gentle terms of endearment and ends with a loving twist on the mirror concept:

Oh, my sleeping angel. I love you, yes, I do.
Oh, my precious little one, I see myself in you.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
A father lion asks his loveable lion cub to roar for him. The Mylar mirror on each page lets kids put themselves into the pictures and thus the story. On the next spread, it is a mother bird asking her beautiful, bashful birdie to sing. Young ones can see themselves in the Mylar birdie. From here there is a tiny tiger, mini-monkey and finally a little one being tucked into bed by momma. The illustrations are simple and uncomplicated on crisp white pages and they are quite appealing. The text, on the other hand, is a bit too saccharine. The back cover notes "with mirrors on every spread, see yourself in the ones you love!" It does not quite make sense—how about see yourself in the eyes of those who love you? Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
