My 32 year old son ask me if I had read the Life After War Series and I started with book one and could not put it down. The horrors of how man reverts to something despicable was riviting to say the least. Then we learn of Adrian, he picks up those people who have lost everything and are looking for what is left in humanity. As he starts to build a future for his people he knows that out there are those people who will be critical in rebuilding and one day take over for him. The "leading character" is Angela White, mother doctor and a future Eagle. Did I also mention she was a witch? Jump ahead through two more books where we learn so much more about Adrian and his followers and we come to Adrian's Eagles. Through out the past books we follow Ceasar and his band of thugs as they rape and pillage any town left standing as well as it's people. In book four Adrian knows that soon they will come to blows with this evil monster and he needs his people to be ready. We follow Angela as she becomes an Eagle and faces her own demons to the climax between herself and her ex. What transpires will have you cheering, crying and rereading the same passage as Angela finally confronts her greatest fear. I don't want to give too much away, but you will follow Kendle and Luke as their island becomes an island of horrors. The ending of book four is outstanding and we know there will be a book 5. This is a must read series, as woven between the tapestry of life after war is the individual stories of each character and why they have such a crucial role of rebuilding our America. Well done again Angela :)

this has such realistic scenes that I had to check out my window to make sure it wasn't real. Sound crazy? This book will grab you and not let go. The only thing is keeping track of the characters. She switches back and forth between them, but you really want to know what happens to all of them. Just read it, I am pretty sure you will be waiting for the next installment just as I am.

Please release the next book in the series ASAP!

It's hard to imagine that human society would break down so poorly as it is portrayed in this series and that after several months journeying through numerous states that Safe Haven would only consist of 200 or so survivors, but I suppose that could possibly occur under the right conditions. Personally, I hope hope that we Americans would do and be better off if nuclear wars would happen. If not, I would join Adrian's Eagles & Safe Haven in a heart beat and I'd follow Adrian anywhere. Despite this not normally my genre of books to read, I absolutely fell in love with these characters (the good guys) in the Life After War series. My only problem? Wher's Book #5???? I can't wait to continue the journey!!

Continuation of previous post.. i.e. "muddy" reference...anyway, as the series progresses, those feelings, thoughts of mine have given way to a true need/desire to see how this series plays out. The author has done a tremendous job in creating and forging relationships and events that have no clear edges or resolutions. Don't stop after the first book...you'll be hooked like I am. When can we expect the next one Angela?

The first book was good, kept your interest. The second set continued to hold my interest however started to drag on and on about the same stupid conflict. Now I'm completely struggling with this 872ish page book about the same droll arguments. And I paid for it! This series could have been completed in ONE book instead of drawing it out. I don't know if I'll even finish it. I'd give it a half star if you had that category.

Third in the original series, Adrian's Eagles continues the saga of life after a nuclear 'incident' caused here in the US. I'm not happy with the clearly sexist attitude of some of the characters, but y'know, they're all well-written, and rounded out enough that you CAN get annoyed with them, just like a real person. I think if the US Army went through Eagle training, they'd be unstoppable, but that's just me.

Overview
Adrian’s hand rested lightly on his gun. "The Eagles want them to. After all the hell they've caused, my Army can't wait to make them pay."
Three months after the War of 2012, Safe Haven refugee camp has made it to South Dakota and now holds six of the seven special survivors meant to lead the rebuilding of their country -but it can’t be done until they find a safe place to settle… and ...
